Longitudinal kinematic imbalances in neutrino and antineutrino interactions for improved measurements of neutrino energy and the axial vector form factor / Baudis, Nathan (Zurich, ETH) ; Dolan, Stephen (CERN) ; Sgalaberna, Davide (Zurich, ETH) ; Bolognesi, Sara (IRFU, Saclay) ; Munteanu, Laura (CERN) ; Dieminger, Till (Zurich, ETH)
Current and future accelerator neutrino oscillation experiments require an improved understanding of nuclear effects in neutrino-nucleus interactions. One important systematic uncertainty is introduced by the collective impact of nuclear effects which bias the reconstruction of the neutrino energy, such as the nuclear removal energy. [...]

Search for vector mediator of Dark Matter production in invisible decay mode / NA64 Collaboration
A search is performed for a new sub-GeV vector boson ($A'$) mediated production of Dark Matter ($\chi$) in the fixed-target experiment, NA64, at the CERN SPS. The $A'$, called dark photon, could be generated in the reaction $ e^- Z \to e^- Z A'$ of 100 GeV electrons dumped against an active target which is followed by the prompt invisible decay $A' \to \chi \overline{\chi}$. [...]

High-density gas target at the LHCb experiment / Boente Garcia, O. (LLR, Palaiseau) ; Bregliozzi, G. (CERN) ; Calegari, D. (CERN) ; Carassiti, V. (INFN, Ferrara) ; Ciullo, G. (INFN, Ferrara ; Ferrara U.) ; Coco, V. (CERN) ; Collins, P. (CERN) ; Pinto, P. Costa (CERN) ; De Angelis, C. (Cagliari U. ; INFN, Cagliari) ; Di Nezza, P. (Frascati) et al.
The recently installed internal gas target at LHCb presents exceptional opportunities for an extensive physics program for heavy-ion, hadron, spin, and astroparticle physics. A storage cell placed in the LHC primary vacuum, an advanced Gas Feed System, the availability of multi-TeV proton and ion beams and the recent upgrade of the LHCb detector make this project unique worldwide. Reconstruction of interactions in the ProtoDUNE-SP detector with Pandora / DUNE Collaboration
The Pandora Software Development Kit and algorithm libraries provide pattern-recognition logic essential to the reconstruction of particle interactions in liquid argon time projection chamber detectors. Pandora is the primary event reconstruction software used at ProtoDUNE-SP, a prototype for the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment far detector. [...]

Measurement of $CP$ violation observables in $D^+\to K^-K^+\pi^+$ decays / LHCb Collaboration
A search for violation of the charge-parity ($CP$) symmetry in the $D^+\rightarrow K^-K^+\pi^+$ decay is presented, with proton-proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.4 fb$^{-1}$, collected at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV with the LHCb detector. A novel model-independent technique is used to compare the $D^+$ and $D^-$ phase-space distributions, with instrumental asymmetries subtracted using the $D^+{s}\rightarrow K^-K^+\pi^+$ decay as a control channel. [...]

Image-current mediated sympathetic laser cooling of a single proton in a Penning trap down to 170 mK axial temperature / BASE Collaboration
We demonstrate a new temperature record for image-current mediated sympathetic cooling of a single proton in a cryogenic Penning trap by laser-cooled $^9$Be$^+$. An axial mode temperature of 170 mK is reached, which is a 15-fold improvement compared to the previous best value. [...]

Uncertainties on the $\nu_{\mu}$/$\nu_{e}$, $\bar{\nu}_{\mu}$/$\bar{\nu}_{e}$ and $\nu_{e}$/$\bar{\nu}_{e}$ cross-section ratio from the modelling of nuclear effects and their impact on neutrino oscillation experiments / Dieminger, T. (Zurich, ETH) ; Dolan, S. (CERN) ; Sgalaberna, D. (Zurich, ETH) ; Nikolakopoulos, A. (Fermilab) ; Dealtry, T. (Lancaster U.) ; Bolognesi, S. (IRFU, Saclay) ; Pickering, L. (Royal Holloway, U. of London) ; Rubbia, A. (Zurich, ETH)
The potential for mis-modeling of $\nu_{\mu}$/$\nu_{e}$, $\bar{\nu}_{\mu}$/$\bar{\nu}_{e}$ and $\nu_{e}$/$\bar{\nu}_{e}$ cross section ratios due to nuclear effects is quantified by considering model spread within the full kinematic phase space for CCQE interactions. Its impact is then propagated to simulated experimental configurations based on the Hyper-K and ESS$\nu$SB experiments. [...]

Doping liquid argon with xenon in ProtoDUNE Single-Phase: effects on scintillation light / DUNE Collaboration
Doping of liquid argon TPCs (LArTPCs) with a small concentration of xenon is a technique for light-shifting and facilitates the detection of the liquid argon scintillation light. In this paper, we present the results of the first doping test ever performed in a kiloton-scale LArTPC. [...]
