Probing extended Higgs sectors by the synergy between direct searches at the LHC and precision tests at future lepton colliders / Aiko, Masashi (Osaka U.) ; Kanemura, Shinya (Osaka U.) ; Kikuchi, Mariko (NIT, Kitakyushu Coll.) ; Mawatari, Kentarou (Iwate U.) ; Sakurai, Kodai (Karlsruhe U., ITP) ; Yagyu, Kei (Osaka U.)
We discuss a possibility that the parameter space of the two Higgs doublet model is significantly narrowed down by considering the synergy between direct searches for additional Higgs bosons at the LHC and its luminosity upgraded operation and precision measurements of the Higgs boson properties at future electron-positron colliders such as the International Linear Collider. We show that, in the case where the coupling constants of the discovered Higgs boson are slightly different from the predicted values in the standard model, most of the parameter space is explored by the direct searches of extra Higgs bosons, in particular for the decays of the extra Higgs bosons into the discovered Higgs boson, and also by the theoretical arguments such as perturbative unitarity and vacuum stability. Improved search for two body muon decay ${\mu}^+{\rightarrow}e^+X_H$ / PIENU Collaboration
Charged lepton flavor violating muon decay ${\mu}^+{\rightarrow}e^+X_H$, where $X_H$ is a massive neutral boson, was sought by searching for extra peaks in the muon decay ${\mu}^+{\rightarrow}e^+{\nu}\bar{\nu}$ energy spectrum in the $m_{X_H}$ mass region $47.8-95.1$ MeV/$c^2$. No signal was found and 90% confidence level upper limits were set on the branching ratio ${\Gamma}({\mu}^+{\rightarrow}e^+X_H)/{\Gamma}({\mu}^+{\rightarrow}e^+{\nu}\bar{\nu})$ at the level of $10^{-5}$ for this region..

Model implementations of axion dark matter from kinetic misalignment / Eröncel, Cem (Istanbul, Tech. U. ; Istanbul Aydin U.) ; Sato, Ryosuke (Osaka U.) ; Servant, Géraldine (DESY ; Hamburg U., Inst. Theor. Phys. II ; CERN) ; Sørensen, Philip (U. Padua, Dept. Phys. Astron. ; INFN, Padua)
The axion kinetic misalignment mechanism (KMM) opens the possibility of explaining dark matter for almost any axion mass and decay constant that are not accessible by the standard misalignment mechanism, in particular at low values of the axion decay constant (i.e. [...]

A new search for the $K_{L} \to \pi^0 \nu \overline{\nu}$ and $K_{L} \to \pi^{0} X^{0}$ decays / Ahn, J.K. (Pusan Natl. U.) ; Baek, K.Y. (Pusan Natl. U.) ; Banno, S. (Osaka U.) ; Beckford, B. (Tohoku U.) ; Brubaker, B. (Yale U.) ; Cai, T. (Rochester U.) ; Campbell, M. (CERN) ; Carruth, C. ; Chen, S.H. ; Chu, S. (Stanford U., Phys. Dept.) et al.
We searched for the $CP$-violating rare decay of neutral kaon, $K_{L} \to \pi^0 \nu \overline{\nu}$, in data from the first 100 hours of physics running in 2013 of the J-PARC KOTO experiment. One candidate event was observed while $0.34\pm0.16$ background events were expected. [...]

Search for the rare decays $\pi^+ \to \mu^+\nu_\mu\nu\bar\nu$ and $\pi^+ \to e^+\nu_e\nu\bar\nu$ / PIENU Collaboration
The rare pion decays ${\pi}^+{\rightarrow}{\mu}^+{\nu}_{\mu}{\nu}\bar{\nu}$ and ${\pi}^+{\rightarrow}e^+{\nu}_{e}{\nu}\bar{\nu}$ are allowed in the Standard Model but highly suppressed. These decays were searched for using data from the PIENU experiment. [...]

Search for Heavy Neutrinos in $\pi \to \mu\nu$ Decay / PIENU Collaboration
Heavy neutrinos were sought in pion decays $\pi^+ \rightarrow \mu^+ \nu$ by examining the observed muon energy spectrum for extra peaks in addition to the expected peak for a massless neutrino. No evidence for heavy neutrinos was observed. [...]

Dark matter as the trigger of flavor changing neutral current decays of the top quark / Jueid, Adil (IBS, Daejeon) ; Kanemura, Shinya (Osaka U.)
We suggest a simplified model that simultaneously addresses the dark-matter problem and give rise to top quark flavor changing neutral current (FCNC) interactions at the one-loop order. The model consists of two extra $SU(2)_L$ gauge singlets: a colored mediator of spin zero ($S$) and a right-handed fermion ($\chi$) both are odd under an ad-hoc $Z_2$ symmetry. [...]

FLAG Review 2021 / Flavour Lattice Averaging Group (FLAG) Collaboration
We review lattice results related to pion, kaon, $D$-meson, $B$-meson, and nucleon physics with the aim of making them easily accessible to the nuclear and particle physics communities. More specifically, we report on the determination of the light-quark masses, the form factor $f_+(0)$ arising in the semileptonic $K \to \pi$ transition at zero momentum transfer, as well as the decay constant ratio $f_K/f_\pi$ and its consequences for the CKM matrix elements $V_{us}$ and $V_{ud}$. Strong lensing of high-energy neutrinos / Taak, Yoon Chan (UCLA) ; Treu, Tommaso (UCLA) ; Inoue, Yoshiyuki (Osaka U., Dept. Earth Space Sci. ; Tokyo U., CNS, Saitama ; Tokyo U., IPMU) ; Kusenko, Alexander (UCLA ; Tokyo U., IPMU ; CERN)
We consider the effects of strong gravitational lensing by galaxy-scale deflectors on the observations of high-energy (E$\gg$GeV) neutrinos (HEN). For HEN at cosmological distances, the optical depth for multiple imaging is $\sim 10^{-3}$, implying that while we do not expect any multiply imaged HEN with present samples, next-generation experiments should be able to detect the first such event. This report summarizes the presentations and discussions during the Rapid Reaction Task Force "Dynamics of critical fluctuations: Theory -- phenomenology -- heavy-ion collisions", which was organized by the ExtreMe Matter Institute EMMI and held at GSI, Darmstadt, Germany in April 2019. We address the current understanding of the dynamics of critical fluctuations in QCD and their measurement in heavy-ion collision experiments. [...]
