Mass ordering of differential elliptic flow and its violation for phi mesons / Hirano, Tetsufumi (Tokyo U.) ; Heinz, Ulrich W. (Ohio State U. ; CERN) ; Kharzeev, Dmitri (Brookhaven) ; Lacey, Roy (SUNY, Stony Brook, Chem. Dept.) ; Nara, Yasushi (Akita Intl. U.)
We simulate the dynamics of Au+Au collisions at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) with a hybrid model that treats the dense early quark-gluon plasma (QGP) stage macroscopically as an ideal fluid, but models the dilute late hadron resonance gas (HG) microscopically using a hadronic cascade. By comparing with a pure hydrodynamic approach we identify effects of hadronic viscosity on the transverse momentum spectra and differential elliptic flow v_2(p_T). [...]

Hadronic dissipative effects on transverse dynamics at RHIC / Hirano, T. (Tokyo U.) ; Heinz, U.W. (Ohio State U. ; CERN) ; Kharzeev, D. (Brookhaven) ; Lacey, R. (SUNY, Stony Brook) ; Nara, Y. (Akita Intl. U.)
We simulate the dynamics of Au+Au collisions at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) with a hybrid model that treats the quark-gluon plasma macroscopically as an ideal fluid, but models the hadron resonance gas microscopically using a hadronic cascade. We find that much of the mass-ordering pattern for v_2(p_T) observed at RHIC is generated during the hadronic stage due to build-up of additional radial flow. [...]

Elliptic flow of charged pions, protons and strange particles emitted in Pb+Au collisions at top SPS energy / CERES Collaboration
Differential elliptic flow spectra v2(pT) of \pi-, K0short, p, \Lambda were measured at \sqrt(s NN)= 17.3 GeV around midrapidity by the CERN-CERES/NA45 experiment in mid-central Pb+Au collisions (10% of \sigma(geo)). The pT range extends from about 0.1 GeV/c (0.55 GeV/c for \Lambda ) to more than 2 GeV/c. [...]

New results on collectivity in small systems with CMS / Milosevic, Jovan (VINCA Inst. Nucl. Sci., Belgrade) /CMS Collaboration
The elliptic ($\upsilon_{2}$) flow of prompt D$^{0}$ mesons, together with K$^{0}_{S}$, $\Lambda$, $\Xi$, and $\Omega$ in high-multiplicity pPb collisions at 8.16~TeV, is presented. The data are collected with the CMS detector at the LHC from the rapidity interval $-1.46 < y_{cm} < 0.54$ and transverse momentum range 1.5 $< \mathrm{p_{T}} <$ 8~GeV. [...]

Hydrodynamic radial and elliptic flow in heavy-ion collisions from AGS to LHC energies / Kestin, Gregory (Ohio State University, Columbus, OH) ; Heinz, Ulrich W (Ohio State University, Columbus, OH ; CERN)
Using ideal relativistic hydrodynamics in 2+1 dimensions, we study the collision energy dependence of radial and elliptic flow, of the emitted hadron spectra, and of the transverse momentum dependence of several hadronic particle ratios, covering the range from Alternating Gradient Synchrotron (AGS) to Large Hadron Collider (LHC) energies. These calculations establish an ideal fluid dynamic baseline that can be used to assess non-equilibrium features manifest in future LHC heavy-ion experiments. [...]

Anisotropic transverse flow is studied in Pb+Pb and Au+Au collisions at SPS and RHIC energies. The centrality and transverse momentum dependence at midrapidity of the elliptic flow coefficient v_2 is calculated in the hydrodynamic and low density limits. [...]
