In order to numerically compute scattering cross sections in QCD, one needs to deal with various kinematic divergences that appear at intermediate stages of the calculation. [...]

Next-to-leading-order QCD Corrections to Higgs Production in association with a Jet / Bonciani, Roberto (Rome U.) ; Del Duca, Vittorio (INFN, Rome ; Zurich U. ; Frascati) ; Frellesvig, Hjalte (Bohr Inst.) ; Hidding, Martijn (Uppsala U.) ; Hirschi, Valentin (CERN) ; Moriello, Francesco (Unlisted, CH) ; Salvatori, Giulio (Princeton, Inst. Advanced Study) ; Somogyi, Gábor (Wigner RCP, Budapest) ; Tramontano, Francesco (Naples U. ; INFN, Naples)
We compute the next-to-leading-order (NLO) QCD corrections to the Higgs pT distribution in Higgs production in association with a jet via gluon fusion at the LHC, with exact dependence on the mass of the quark circulating in the heavy-quark loops. The NLO corrections are presented including the top-quark mass, and for the first time, the bottom-quark mass as well. [...]

We present a comparison of the computation of energy-energy correlations and Durham algorithm jet rates in $e^+e^−$ collisions at next-to-next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy matched with the $\mathcal{O}(\alpha^3_s)$ perturbative prediction to LEP, PEP, PETRA, SLC, and TRISTAN data. With these predictions we perform extractions of the strong coupling constant taking into account non-perturbative effects modelled with modern Monte Carlo event generators that simulate NLO QCD corrections..

A summary of the main points of discussion raised during the talks and their follow-up questions,as well as in the round table of the last day of the $α_s$ (2019) workshop, is presented. The discussions not only focused on particular issues affecting each one of the individual $α_s$ extractions, but also on the current PDG categorization of $α_s$ measurements and on the methods used to average them into a single $α_s$ ($m_Z$) value. We present state-of-the-art extractions of the strong coupling based on N$^3$LO+NNLL accurate predictions for the two-jet rate in the Durham clustering algorithm at $e^+e^-$ collisions, as well as a simultaneous fit of the two- and three-jet rates taking into account correlations between the two observables. The fits are performed on a large range of data sets collected at LEP and PETRA colliders, with energies spanning from $35$ GeV to $207$ GeV. [...]

Jet production in the CoLoRFulNNLO method: event shapes in electron-positron collisions / Del Duca, Vittorio (Zurich, ETH) ; Duhr, Claude (CERN ; Louvain U., CP3) ; Kardos, Adam (Debrecen U. ; Santa Barbara, KITP) ; Somogyi, Gábor (Debrecen U.) ; Szőr, Zoltán (Debrecen U. ; Santa Barbara, KITP) ; Trócsányi, Zoltán (Debrecen U. ; Santa Barbara, KITP) ; Tulipánt, Zoltán (Debrecen U.)
We present the CoLoRFulNNLO method to compute higher order radiative corrections to jet cross sections in perturbative QCD. We apply our method to the computation of event shape observables in electron-positron collisions at NNLO accuracy and validate our code by comparing our predictions to previous results in the literature.
