EUDAQ $-$ A Data Acquisition Software Framework for Common Beam Telescopes / Ahlburg, P. (Bonn U.) ; Arfaoui, S. (CERN) ; Arling, J.-H (DESY) ; Augustin, H. (Heidelberg U.) ; Barney, D. (CERN) ; Benoit, M. (Geneva U.) ; Bisanz, T. (Gottingen U., II. Phys. Inst.) ; Corrin, E. (Geneva U.) ; Cussans, D. (Bristol U.) ; Dannheim, D. (CERN) et al.
EUDAQ is a generic data acquisition software developed for use in conjunction with common beam telescopes at charged particle beam lines. Providing high-precision reference tracks for performance studies of new sensors, beam telescopes are essential for the research and development towards future detectors for high-energy physics. Calibration of ultra-thin hybrid pixel detector assemblies with Timepix readout ASICs / Alipour Tehrani, Niloufar (CERN) ; Arfaoui, Samir (CERN) ; Benoit, Mathieu (Universite de Geneve (CH)) ; Celeste, Damiano (CERN) ; Dannheim, Dominik (CERN) ; Pfleger, Florentina (CERN) ; Redford, Sophie (CERN)
In the framework of vertex detector R&D; for a future Compact Linear Collider, the charac- terisation of ultra-thin hybrid pixel detector assemblies comprising 50 − 300 μm thick silicon sensors and Timepix readout ASICs is underway through beam tests at DESY and CERN. The work presented here supports the beam test data analysis by providing an energy calibra- tion of certain assemblies, so giving access to energy measurements in addition to recorded Time Over Threshold counts. Capacitively coupled hybrid pixel assemblies for the CLIC vertex detector / Alipour Tehrani, Niloufar (CERN) ; Arfaoui, Samir (CERN) ; Benoit, Mathieu (CERN ; Geneva U.) ; Dannheim, Dominik (CERN) ; Dette, Karola (Tech. U., Dortmund (main)) ; Hynds, Daniel (CERN) ; Kulis, Szymon (CERN) ; Peric, Ivan (KIT, Karlsruhe) ; Petric, Marko (CERN) ; Redford, Sophie (CERN) et al.
The vertex detector at the proposed CLIC multi-TeV linear e+e- collider must have minimal material content and high spatial resolution, combined with accurate time-stamping to cope with the expected high rate of beam-induced backgrounds. One of the options being considered is the use of active sensors implemented in a commercial high-voltage CMOS process, capacitively coupled to hybrid pixel ASICs. [...]

Jet energy measurement and its systematic uncertainty in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$=7 TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
The jet energy scale (JES) and its systematic uncertainty are determined for jets measured with the ATLAS detector using proton-proton collision data with a centre-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.7 fb$^{-1}$. Jets are reconstructed from energy deposits forming topological clusters of calorimeter cells using the anti-k$_t$ algorithm with distance parameters $R=0.4$ or $R=0.6$, and are calibrated using MC simulations. Measurement of $\chi_{c1}$ and $\chi_{c2}$ production with $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV $pp$ collisions at ATLAS / ATLAS Collaboration
The prompt and non-prompt production cross-sections for the $\chi_{c1}$ and $\chi_{c2}$ charmonium states are measured in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV with the ATLAS detector at the LHC using 4.5 fb-1 of integrated luminosity. The $\chi_{c}$ states are reconstructed through the radiative decay $\chi_{c}\rightarrow J/\psi\,\gamma$ (with $J/\psi\rightarrow\mu^{+}\mu^{-}$) where photons are reconstructed from $\gamma\rightarrow e^{+}e^{-}$ conversions. Muon reconstruction efficiency and momentum resolution of the ATLAS experiment in proton–proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV in 2010 / ATLAS Collaboration
This paper presents a study of the performance of the muon reconstruction in the analysis of proton--proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV at the LHC, recorded by the ATLAS detector in 2010. This performance is described in terms of reconstruction and isolation efficiencies and momentum resolutions for different classes of reconstructed muons. [...]

The differential production cross section of the $\phi$(1020) meson in $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV pp collisions measured with the ATLAS Detector / ATLAS Collaboration
A measurement is presented of the $\phi ➝ K^+K^−$ production cross section at √s = 7 TeV using pp collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 383 μb$^{−1}$ collected with the ATLAS experiment at the LHC. Selection of $\phi$(1020) mesons is based on the identification of charged kaons by their energy loss in the pixel detector. [...]

Measurement of the production cross-section of prompt J/$\psi$ mesons in association with a W± boson in pp collisions at √s = 7 TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
The process $pp \to W^{\pm} J/\psi$ provides a powerful probe of the production mechanism of charmonium in hadronic collisions, and is also sensitive to multiple parton interactions in the colliding protons. Using the 2011 ATLAS dataset of 4.5 fb-1 of $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV pp collisions at the LHC, the first observation is made of the production of $W^{\pm}$ + prompt $J/\psi$ events in hadronic collisions, using $W^{\pm} \to \mu\nu_{\mu}$ and $J/\psi \to \mu^+\mu^-$.
