The prompt and delayed $\gamma $-ray spectra of $^{187}$Tl was studied via the $^{142}$Nd($^{50}$Cr, 3p2n)$^{187}$Tl fusion-evaporation reaction at a beam energy of 255 MeV. An enhanced level scheme of $^{187}$Tl was established. [...]

Discrete Structural Systems Modeling: Benchmarking of LS-DEM and LMGC90 with Seismic Experiments
/ Zhou, Ziran (Caltech) ; Andreini, Marco (CERN) ; Sironi, Luca (CERN) ; Lestuzzi, Pierino (Unlisted, CH) ; Andò, Edward (Unlisted, CH) ; Dubois, Frédéric (Montpellier U.) ; Bolognini, Davide (Unlisted, IT) ; Dacarro, Filippo (Unlisted, IT) ; Andrade, José E (Caltech)
Various papers have presented different methods for computations of mechanics and kinematics of discrete structural systems. However, little has been done in comparing and benchmarking the seismic response from two different discrete-system-models with experiments. [...]

Shaking table tests for seismic stability of stacked concrete blocks used for radiation shielding
/ Sironi, Luca (CERN) ; Andreini, Marco (CERN) ; Colloca, Cristiana (CERN) ; Poehler, Michael (CERN) ; Bolognini, Davide (Pavia U.) ; Dacarro, Filippo (Pavia U.) ; Lestuzzi, Pierino (Ecole Polytechnique, Lausanne) ; Dubois, Frédéric (U. This paper describes the shaking table tests carried out at the European Centre for Training and Research in
Earthquake Engineering (EUCENTRE) to investigate the seismic behaviour of four configurations of stacked
concrete blocks, commonly used at the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) as a shielding
barrier against different types of radiation. The blocks used for these configurations have been designed to
guarantee an adequate level of protection to radiation and, at the same time, to be easily transported and
managed for different installations. [...]

CEPC Technical Design Report: Accelerator
/ CEPC Study Group Collaboration
The Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC) is a large scientific project initiated and hosted by China, fostered through extensive collaboration with international partners. The complex comprises four accelerators: a 30 GeV Linac, a 1.1 GeV Damping Ring, a Booster capable of achieving energies up to 180 GeV, and a Collider operating at varying energy modes (Z, W, H, and ttbar). $J/\psi$ yield enhancement at very low transverse momentum in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_\mathrm{NN}} = \mathrm{5.02 \,TeV}$ with ALICE
/ Zhou, Zhuo (Bergen U.)
/ALICE Collaboration
A large excess in the yield of $\mathrm{J/\psi}$ at very low transverse momentum (${p}_\mathrm{T}<\mathrm{300 MeV/}c$) and forward rapidity (2.5$<y<$4.0) was recently reported by $\mathrm{ALICE}$ using the LHC Run-1 data, in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_\mathrm{NN}} = \mathrm{2.76 \,TeV}$. This is suggestive of coherent $\mathrm{J/\psi}$ photo-production, similar to measurements in ultra-peripheral collisions (UPC), where the nuclei only interact electromagnetically.During the LHC Run-2, the measurement of the very low ${p}_\mathrm{T}$ $\mathrm{J/\psi}$ at mid-rapidity (-0.9$<y<$0.9) in the di-electron decay channel was possible thanks to the large sample of recorded Pb-Pb collisions. Optimized injector schemes for FCC-ee positron production
/ Bai, B (Beijing, Inst. High Energy Phys. ; IJCLab, Orsay ; Beijing, GUCAS) ; Faus-Golfe, A (IJCLab, Orsay) ; Han, Y (IJCLab, Orsay) ; Chaikovska, I (IJCLab, Orsay) ; Zhou, Z (Beijing, Inst. High Energy Phys.) ; Chi, Y (Beijing, Inst. High Energy Phys.) ; Oide, K (CERN ; KEK, Tsukuba) ; Zimmermann, F (CERN)
Injectors and in particular the positron production systems are a crucial element in linear and circular colliders. The proposed FCC-ee injector linac accelerates both electrons and positrons up to 6 GeV in order to be injected into the Pre-Booster Ring (PBR) with a high intensity of 3.5 nC per bunch for the Z running mode.
