The LHCb upgrade I / LHCb Collaboration
The LHCb upgrade represents a major change of the experiment. The detectors have been almost completely renewed to allow running at an instantaneous luminosity five times larger than that of the previous running periods. [...]

This paper presents the techniques used to monitor radiation damage in the LHCb Tracker Turicensis during the LHC Runs 1 and 2. Bulk leakage currents in the silicon sensors were monitored continuously, while the full depletion voltages of the sensors were estimated at regular intervals by performing dedicated scans of the charge collection efficiency as a function of the applied bias voltage. The performance of prototype active-edge VTT sensors bump-bonded to the Timepix ASIC is presented. Non-irradiated sensors of thicknesses 100–200 μm and pixel-to-edge distances of 50 μm and 100 μm were probed with a beam of charged hadrons with sub-pixel precision using the Timepix telescope assembled at the SPS at CERN. Model-independent confirmation of the $Z(4430)^-$ state / LHCb collaboration
The decay $B^0\to \psi(2S) K^+\pi^-$ is analyzed using $\rm 3~fb^{-1}$ of $pp$ collision data collected with the LHCb detector. A model-independent description of the $\psi(2S) \pi$ mass spectrum is obtained, using as input the $K\pi$ mass spectrum and angular distribution derived directly from data, without requiring a theoretical description of resonance shapes or their interference. Characterisation of Medipix3 Silicon Detectors in a Charged-Particle Beam / Akiba, K. (Rio de Janeiro Federal U.) ; Alozy, J. (CERN) ; Aoude, R.Tourinho (Rio de Janeiro, Pont. U. (Santiago de Compostela U.) ; Hombach, C. (Manchester U.) et al.
While designed primarily for X-ray imaging applications, the Medipix3 ASIC can also be used for charged-particle tracking. In this work, results from a beam test at the CERN SPS with irradiated and non-irradiated sensors are presented and shown to be in agreement with simulation, demonstrating the suitability of the Medipix3 ASIC as a tool for characterising pixel sensors..

Search for the lepton flavour violating decay $\tau^-\to \mu^-\mu^+\mu^-$ / LHCb Collaboration
A search for the lepton flavour violating decay $\tau^-\rightarrow\mu^-\mu^+\mu^-$ is performed with the LHCb experiment. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb$^{−1}$ of proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV and 2.0 fb$^{−1}$ at 8 TeV. [...]

Measurement of the CP-violating phase $\phi_s$ in $\bar{B}^{0}_{s}\to D_{s}^{+}D_{s}^{-}$ decays / LHCb collaboration
We present a measurement of the $CP$-violating weak mixing phase $\phi_s$ using the decay $\bar{B}^{0}_{s}\to D_{s}^{+}D_{s}^{-}$ in a data sample corresponding to $3.0$ fb$^{-1}$ of integrated luminosity collected with the LHCb detector in $pp$ collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV. An analysis of the time evolution of the system, which does not constrain $|\lambda|=1$ to allow for the presence of $CP$ violation in decay, yields $\phi_s = 0.02 \pm 0.17$ (stat) $\pm 0.02$ (syst) rad, $|\lambda| = 0.91^{+0.18}_{-0.15}$ (stat) $\pm0.02$ (syst).
