Search for Darkonium in $e^+e^-$ Collisions / BABAR Collaboration
Collider searches for dark sectors, new particles interacting only feebly with ordinary matter, have largely focused on identifying signatures of new mediators, leaving much of dark sector structures unexplored. In particular, the existence of dark matter bound states (darkonia) remains to be investigated. [...]

Understanding the origin and dynamics of hadron structure and in turn that of atomic nuclei is a central goal of nuclear physics. This challenge entails the questions of how does the roughly 1 GeV mass-scale that characterizes atomic nuclei appear; why does it have the observed value; and, enigmatically, why are the composite Nambu-Goldstone (NG) bosons in quantum chromodynamics (QCD) abnormally light in comparison? In this perspective, we provide an analysis of the mass budget of the pion and proton in QCD; discuss the special role of the kaon, which lies near the boundary between dominance of strong and Higgs mass-generation mechanisms; and explain the need for a coherent effort in QCD phenomenology and continuum calculations, in exa-scale computing as provided by lattice QCD, and in experiments to make progress in understanding the origins of hadron masses and the distribution of that mass within them. The silicon vertex tracker at the BABAR experiment is the primary device used in measuring the distance between B0 and meson decay vertices for the extraction of CP asymmetries. It consists of five layers of double-sided, AC-coupled silicon modules, read out by custom integrated circuits. [...]

Evidence for the decay $B_c^+ \rightarrow J/\psi 3\pi^+ 2\pi^-$ / LHCb collaboration
Evidence is presented for the decay $B_c+\rightarrow J/\psi 3\pi^+2\pi^-$ using proton-proton collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3fb$^{-1}$, collected with the LHCb detector. A signal yield of $32\pm8$ decays is found with a significance of 4.5 standard deviations. [...]

Observation of photon polarization in the $b \to s\gamma$ transition / LHCb collaboration
This Letter presents a study of the flavor-changing neutral current radiative $B^{\pm} \to K^{\pm}\pi^{\mp}\pi^{\pm}\gamma$ decays performed using data collected in proton-proton collisions with the LHCb detector at $7$ and $8\,$TeV center-of-mass energies. In this sample, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $3\,\text{fb}^{-1}$, nearly $14\,000$ signal events are reconstructed and selected, containing all possible intermediate resonances with a $K^{\pm}\pi^{\mp}\pi^{\pm}$ final state in the $[1.1, 1.9]\,$GeV/$c^{2}$ mass range. Measurement of resonant and $CP$ components in $\overline{B}_s^0\to J/\psi\pi^+\pi^-$ decays / LHCb Collaboration
The resonant structure of the decay $\overline{B}_s^0\to J/\psi\pi^+\pi^-$ is studied using data corresponding to 3 fb$^{-1}$ of integrated luminosity from $pp$ collisions by the LHC and collected by the LHCb detector. Five interfering $\pi^+\pi^-$ states are required to describe the decay: $f_0(980),~f_0(1500),~f_0(1790),~f_2(1270)$, and $f_2^{\prime}(1525)$. [...]

Precision measurement of the ratio of the $\Lambda^0_b$ to $\overline{B}^0$ lifetimes / LHCb collaboration
The LHCb measurement of the lifetime ratio of the $\Lambda^0_b$ to the $\overline{B}^0$ meson is updated using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb$^{-1}$ collected using 7 and 8 TeV centre-of-mass energy $pp$ collisions at the LHC. The decay modes used are $\overline{\Lambda}^0_b \to J/\psi p K^-$ and $\overline{B}^0 \to J/\psi \pi^+ K^-$, where the $\pi^+K^-$ mass is consistent with that of the $\overline{K}^{*0}(892)$ meson. Measurement of charged particle multiplicities and densities in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV in the forward region / LHCb collaboration
Charged particle multiplicities are studied in proton-proton collisions in the forward region at a centre-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s} = 7\;$TeV with data collected in 2010 by the LHCb detector. The forward spectrometer allows access to a kinematic range of $2.0<\eta<4.8$ in pseudorapidity, momenta down to $2\;$GeV/$c$ and transverse momenta down to $0.2\;$GeV/$c$. [...]
