Performance of the CMS high-level trigger during LHC Run 2 / CMS Collaboration
The CERN LHC provided proton and heavy ion collisions during its Run 2 operation period from 2015 to 2018. Proton-proton collisions reached a peak instantaneous luminosity of 2.1 $ \times $ 10$^{34}$ cm$^{-2}$s$^{-1} $, twice the initial design value, at $ \sqrt{s}= $ 13 TeV. [...]

Hyperon Polarization along the Beam Direction Relative to the Second and Third Harmonic Event Planes in Isobar Collisions at <math display="inline"><mrow><msqrt><mrow><msub><mrow><mi>s</mi></mrow><mrow><mi>N</mi><mi>N</mi></mrow></msub></mrow></msqrt><mo>=</mo><mn>200</mn><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><mi>GeV</mi></mrow></math> / STAR Collaboration
The polarization of $\Lambda$ and $\bar{\Lambda}$ hyperons along the beam direction has been measured relative to the second and third harmonic event planes in isobar Ru+Ru and Zr+Zr collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 200 GeV. This is the first experimental evidence of the hyperon polarization by the triangular flow originating from the initial density fluctuations. [...]

The ATLAS ITk Strip Detector System for the Phase-II LHC Upgrade / Trischuk, Dominique Anderson (Brandeis University (US)) /ATLAS Collaboration
The inner detector of the present ATLAS experiment has been designed and developed to function in the environment of the present Large Hadron Collider (LHC). At the ATLAS Phase-II Upgrade, the particle densities and radiation levels will exceed current levels by a factor of ten. [...]

Search for the chiral magnetic wave using anisotropic flow of identified particles at energies available at the BNL Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider / STAR Collaboration
The chiral magnetic wave (CMW) has been theorized to propagate in the deconfined nuclear medium formed in high-energy heavy-ion collisions, and to cause a difference in elliptic flow ($v_{2}$) between negatively and positively charged hadrons. Experimental data consistent with the CMW have been reported by the STAR Collaboration at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC), based on the charge asymmetry dependence of the pion $v_{2}$ from Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 27 to 200 GeV. First measurement of the forward rapidity gap distribution in pPb collisions at $ \sqrt{\smash[b]{s_{_{\mathrm{NN}}}}} = $ 8.16 TeV / CMS Collaboration
For the first time at LHC energies, the forward rapidity gap spectra from proton-lead collisions for both proton and lead dissociation processes are presented. The analysis is performed over 10.4 units of pseudorapidity at a center-of-mass energy per nucleon pair of $ \sqrt{\smash[b]{s_{_{\mathrm{NN}}}}} = $ 8.16 TeV, almost 300 times higher than in previous measurements of diffractive production in proton-nucleus collisions. Displaced Vertex Search for Heavy Neutral Leptons with the ATLAS Detector / Trischuk, Dominique Anderson (University of British Columbia (CA)) /ATLAS Collaboration
This talk will present recent results of a search for long-lived heavy neutral leptons (HNLs) in proton-proton collisions at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The Standard Model (SM) of particle physics is an extremely successful theory and its major predictions have been precisely confirmed. [...]

Nuclear modification of $\Upsilon$ states in pPb collisions at $\sqrt{s_\mathrm{NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV / CMS Collaboration
Production cross sections of $\Upsilon$(1S), $\Upsilon$(2S), and $\Upsilon$(3S) states decaying into ${\mu^{+}\mu^{-}}$ in proton-lead (pPb) collisions are reported using data collected by the CMS experiment at ${\sqrt {\smash [b]{s_{_{\mathrm {NN}}}}}} = $ 5.02 TeV. A comparison is made with corresponding cross sections obtained with pp data measured at the same collision energy and scaled by the Pb nucleus mass number. [...]

Measurements of the associated production of a W boson and a charm quark in proton–proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=8\,\text {TeV} $ / CMS Collaboration
Measurements of the associated production of a W boson and a charm (c) quark in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV are reported. The analysis uses a data sample corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb$^{-1}$ collected by the CMS detector at the LHC. [...]
