We compute the supersymmetry-breaking three-form fluxes generated by the addition of anti-D3 branes at the tip of a Klebanov-Strassler throat. These fluxes give rise to nontrivial terms in the superpotential when the throat is embedded in a flux compactification. [...]

Prospects for Fundamental Physics with LISA / LISA Collaboration
In this paper, which is of programmatic rather than quantitative nature, we aim to further delineate and sharpen the future potential of the LISA mission in the area of fundamental physics. Given the very broad range of topics that might be relevant to LISA, we present here a sample of what we view as particularly promising directions, based in part on the current research interests of the LISA scientific community in the area of fundamental physics. Mergers and Typical Black Hole Microstates / Bena, Iosif (Princeton, Inst. Advanced Study) ; Wang, Chih-Wei (Southern California U.) ; Warner, Nicholas P. (Southern California U. ; CERN)
We use mergers of microstates to obtain the first smooth horizonless microstate solutions corresponding to a BPS three-charge black hole with a classically large horizon area. These microstates have very long throats, that become infinite in the classical limit; never the less, their curvature is everywhere small. [...]

Foaming Three-Charge Black Hole / Bena, Iosif (Princeton, Inst. Advanced Study) ; Wang, Chih-Wei (Southern California U.) ; Warner, Nicholas P. (Southern California U. ; CERN)
We find a very large set of smooth horizonless geometries that have the same charges and angular momenta as the five-dimensional, maximally-spinning, three-charge, BPS black hole (J^2 = Q^3). Our solutions are constructed using a four-dimensional Gibbons-Hawking base space that has a very large number of two-cycles. [...]

Sliding Rings and Spinning Holes / Bena, Iosif (Princeton, Inst. Advanced Study) ; Wang, Chih-Wei (Southern California U.) ; Warner, Nicholas P. (Southern California U. ; CERN)
We construct smooth supergravity solutions describing a BPS black ring with a BPS black hole centered at an arbitrary distance above the ring. We find that as one moves the black hole the entropy of the ring remains constant, but the angular momentum coming from the supergravity fluxes changes. [...]

Adiabatic Plasma Buncher / Ferrario, M ; Katsouleas, T C ; Serafini, L ; Bena, I
In this paper we present a new scheme of injection into a plasma accelerator, aimed at producing a high quality beam while relaxing the demands on the bunch length of the injected beam. [...]
