Commissioning and Operation of the Readout System for the SoLid Neutrino Detector / SoLid Collaboration
The SoLid experiment aims to measure neutrino oscillation at a baseline of 6.4 m from the BR2 nuclear reactor in Belgium. Anti-neutrinos interact via inverse beta decay (IBD), resulting in a positron and neutron signal that are correlated in time and space. [...]

SoLid: A short baseline reactor neutrino experiment / SoLid Collaboration
The SoLid experiment, short for Search for Oscillations with a Lithium-6 detector, is a new generation neutrino experiment which tries to address the key challenges for high precision reactor neutrino measurements at very short distances from a reactor core and with little or no overburden. The primary goal of the SoLid experiment is to perform a precise measurement of the electron antineutrino energy spectrum and flux and to search for very short distance neutrino oscillations as a probe of eV-scale sterile neutrinos. [...]

The CCube reconstruction algorithm for the SoLid experiment / SoLid Collaboration
The SoLid experiment is a very-short-baseline experiment aimed at searching for nuclear reactor-produced active to sterile antineutrino oscillations. The detection principle is based on the pairing of two types of solid scintillators: polyvinyl toluene and $^6$LiF:ZnS(Ag), which is a new technology used in this field of Physics. [...]

Performance of a full scale prototype detector at the BR2 reactor for the SoLid experiment / SoLid Collaboration
The SoLid collaboration has developed a new detector technology to detect electron anti-neutrinos at close proximity to the Belgian BR2 reactor at surface level. A 288$\,$kg prototype detector was deployed in 2015 and collected data during the operational period of the reactor and during reactor shut-down. [...]

Optimisation of the scintillation light collection and uniformity for the SoLid experiment / SoLid Collaboration
This paper presents a comprehensive optimisation study to maximise the light collection efficiency of scintillating cube elements used in the SoLid detector. Very short baseline reactor experiments, like SoLid, look for active to sterile neutrino oscillation signatures in the anti-neutrino energy spectrum as a function of the distance to the core and energy. [...]

A novel segmented-scintillator antineutrino detector / SoLid Collaboration
The next generation of very-short-baseline reactor experiments will require compact detectors operating at surface level and close to a nuclear reactor. This paper presents a new detector concept based on a composite solid scintillator technology. [...]

Instrument intercomparison in the high-energy field at the CERN-EU reference field (CERF) facility and comparison with the 2017 FLUKA simulations / Dinar, N (CERN ; Orsay, LAL) ; Pozzi, F (CERN) ; Silari, M (CERN) ; Puzo, P (Orsay, LAL) ; Chiriotti, S (SCK-CEN, Mol) ; De Saint-Hubert, M (SCK-CEN, Mol) ; Vanhavere, F (SCK-CEN, Mol) ; Van Hoey, O (SCK-CEN, Mol) ; Orchard, G M (Ontario U. Inst. Tech.) ; Waker, A J (Ontario U. Inst. Tech.)
This paper discusses an instrument intercomparison performed in the high-energy field at the CERF facility at CERN between 2015 and 2017 (October 2015, May 2016, November 2016 and June 2017). Measurements were performed in several reference exposure locations with the CERN extended-range Bonner Sphere Spectrometer (BSS), a Berthold LB4611, the LINUS rem counter from CERN, the LUPIN rem counter from ELSE Nuclear, the FHT 762 Wide Energy Neutron Detection Instrument (WENDI-II) from Thermo Scientific, the LUDLUM MODEL 42–41 PRESCILA NEUTRON PROBE and two models of Tissue-equivalent proportional counters (TEPCs) from Far West Technologies. Resonant laser ionization and mass separation of $^{225}$Ac / Johnson, Jake D (Leuven U.) ; Heines, Michael (Leuven U.) ; Bruchertseifer, Frank (Geel, JRC) ; Chevallay, Eric (CERN) ; Cocolios, Thomas E (Leuven U.) ; Dockx, Kristof (Leuven U.) ; Duchemin, Charlotte (Leuven U. ; CERN) ; Heinitz, Stephan (SCK-CEN, Mol) ; Heinke, Reinhard (Leuven U. ; CERN) ; Hurier, Sophie (Leuven U. ; SCK-CEN, Mol) et al.
$^{225}$Ac is a radio-isotope that can be linked to biological vector molecules to treat certain distributed cancers using targeted alpha therapy. However, developing $^{225}$Ac-labelled radiopharmaceuticals remains a challenge due to the supply shortage of pure $^{225}$Ac itself. [...]
