The Pixel Luminosity Telescope: a silicon sensor detector for luminosity measurement at CMS / Lujan, Paul Joseph (Canterbury U.) /CMS Collaboration
The Pixel Luminosity Telescope is a silicon pixel detector dedicated to luminosity measurement at the CMS experiment. It consists of 48 silicon sensor planes arranged into 16 telescopes of three planes each, with eight telescopes arranged around the beam pipe at either end of the CMS detector, outside the pixel endcap at a distance of approximately 1.75 m from the interaction point. [...]

Measurement of the charge asymmetry of electrons from the decays of $W$ bosons produced in $p\bar{p}$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=1.96$ TeV / CDF Collaboration
At the Fermilab Tevatron proton-antiproton ($p\bar{p}$) collider, high-mass electron-neutrino ($e\nu$) pairs are produced predominantly in the process $p \bar{p} \rightarrow W(\rightarrow e\nu) + X$. The asymmetry of the electron and positron yield as a function of their pseudorapidity constrain the slope of the ratio of the $u$- to $d$-quark parton distributions versus the fraction of the proton momentum carried by the quarks. Van der Meer calibration of the CMS luminosity detectors in 2017 / Lujan, Paul Joseph (INFN, Padua ; Padua U.) /CMS Collaboration
Precision measurement of luminosity delivered by the LHC to the CMS experiment is a vital component of many physics analyses and important for optimal machine performance. In Run 2, the luminosity at CMS is measured by three online luminometers, the Pixel Luminosity Telescope (PLT), Fast Beam Conditions Monitor (BCM1F), and the hadronic forward calorimeter (HF), which provide high-precision real-time luminosity measurements. Performance of the Pixel Luminosity Telescope for Luminosity Measurement at CMS during Run2 / Lujan, Paul Joseph (INFN, Padua) /CMS Collaboration
The Pixel Luminosity Telescope (PLT) is a dedicated system for luminosity measurement at the CMS experiment using silicon pixel sensors arranged into "telescopes", each consisting of three sensor planes. It was installed in CMS at the beginning of 2015 and has been providing online and offline luminosity measurements throughout Run 2 of the LHC. [...]

A Study of the Energy Dependence of the Underlying Event in Proton-Antiproton Collisions / for the CDF Collaboration
We study charged particle production in proton-antiproton collisions at 300 GeV, 900 GeV, and 1.96 TeV. We use the direction of the charged particle with the largest transverse momentum in each event to define three regions of eta-phi space; toward, away, and transverse. [...]

A precise measurement of the $W$-boson mass with the Collider Detector at Fermilab / Aaltonen, Timo Antero (Helsinki U. ; Helsinki Inst. of Phys.) ; Amerio, Silvia (INFN, Padua ; Padua U.) ; Amidei, Dante E (Michigan U.) ; Anastassov, Anton Iankov (Fermilab ; Northwestern U.) ; Annovi, Alberto (Frascati) ; Antos, Jaroslav (Comenius U. ; Kosice, IEF) ; Apollinari, Giorgio (Fermilab) ; Appel, Jeffrey A (Fermilab) ; Arisawa, Tetsuo (Waseda U.) ; Artikov, Akram Muzafarovich (Dubna, JINR) et al. /R. C. Group
We present a measurement of the $W$-boson mass, $M_W$, using data corresponding to 2.2/fb of integrated luminosity collected in ppbar collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 1.96 TeV with the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron. The selected sample of 470126 $W\to e\nu$ candidates and 624708 $W\to\mu\nu$ candidates yields the measurement $M_W = 80387\pm 12$ (stat) $\pm 15$ (syst)$ = 80387 \pm 19$ MeV$/c^2$ . [...]

Study of orbitally excited $B$ mesons and evidence for a new $B\pi$ resonance / Aaltonen, Timo Antero (Helsinki U. ; Helsinki Inst. of Phys.) ; Amerio, Silvia (INFN, Padua ; Padua U.) ; Amidei, Dante E (Michigan U.) ; Anastassov, Anton Iankov (Fermilab ; Northwestern U.) ; Annovi, Alberto (Frascati) ; Antos, Jaroslav (Comenius U. ; Kosice, IEF) ; Apollinari, Giorgio (Fermilab) ; Appel, Jeffrey A (Fermilab) ; Arisawa, Tetsuo (Waseda U.) ; Artikov, Akram Muzafarovich (Dubna, JINR) et al. /R. C. Group
Using the full CDF Run II data sample, we report evidence for a new resonance, which we refer to as B(5970), found simultaneously in the $B^0\pi^+$ and $B^+\pi^-$ mass distributions with a significance of 4.4 standard deviations. We further report the first study of resonances consistent with orbitally excited $B^{+}$ mesons and an updated measurement of the properties of orbitally excited $B^0$ and $B_s^0$ mesons. [...]
