Beam test performance of prototype silicon detectors for the Outer Tracker for the Phase-2 Upgrade of CMS / CMS Tracker Group Collaboration
A new CMS tracker detector will be installed for operation at the High Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC). This detector comprises modules with two closely spaced parallel sensor plates and front-end ASICs capable of transmitting tracking information to the CMS Level-1 (L1) trigger at the 40 MHz beam crossing rate. Experimental Study of Different Silicon Sensor Options for the Upgrade of the CMS Outer Tracker / Tracker Group of the CMS Collaboration
During the high-luminosity phase of the LHC (HL-LHC), planned to start around 2027, the accelerator is expected to deliver an instantaneous peak luminosity of up to $7.5\times10^{34}$ cm$^{-2}$s$^{-1}$. A total integrated luminosity of $3000$ or even $4000$~fb$^{-1}$ is foreseen to be delivered to the general purpose detectors ATLAS and CMS over a decade, thereby increasing the discovery potential of the LHC experiments significantly. [...]

A new model for the CLIC detector has been defined based on lessons learnt while working with the CDR detector models and after a series of simulation studies. The new model, dubbed "CLICdet", also incorporates the experience from various R&D; activities linked to a future experiment at CLIC. [...]

Recent Developments at the High-Charge PHIN Photoinjector and the CERN Photoemission Laboratory / Hessler, C (CERN) ; Chevallay, E (CERN) ; Doebert, S (CERN) ; Fedosseev, V (CERN) ; Martini, I (CERN) ; Martyanov, M (CERN) ; Perillo Marcone, A (CERN) ; Sroka, S (CERN)
The high-charge PHIN photoinjector has originally been developed to study the feasibility of a photoinjector option for the drive beam of the CLIC Test Facility 3 (CTF3) at CERN and is now being used to inevestigate the feasibility of a drive beam photoinjector for CLIC. In this paper recent R&D; efforts to improve the parameters of the existing system towards CLIC requirements will be discussed. [...]
