Vibration and luminosity frequency analysis of the SuperKEKB collider
/ Serluca, Maurizio (Annecy, LAPP) ; Balik, Gael (Annecy, LAPP) ; Brunetti, Laurent (Annecy, LAPP) ; Aimard, Benjamin (Annecy, LAPP) ; Dominjon, Agnes (Annecy, LAPP) ; Bambade, Philip (IJCLab, Orsay) ; Wallon, Sandry (IJCLab, Orsay) ; Di Carlo, Salvatore (CERN) ; Masuzawa, Mika (KEK, Tsukuba) ; Uehara, Sadaharu (KEK, Tsukuba)
The SuperKEKB collider has entered the physics production phase with the aim to reach its target luminosity of 6×1035 cm−2s−1. Vibrations of the accelerator elements, especially around the Interaction Point (IP), could limit the performance of the collider. [...]

Challenges for the interaction region design of the Future Circular Collider FCC-ee
/ Boscolo, Manuela (LNF, Dafne Light) ; Bacchetta, Nicola (INFN, Italy) ; Benedikt, Michael (CERN) ; Brunetti, Laurent (Annecy, LAPP) ; Burkhardt, Helmut (CERN) ; Ciarma, Andrea (LNF, Dafne Light) ; Dam, Mogens (Bohr Inst.) ; Fransesini, Francesco (LNF, Dafne Light) ; Jones, Mark (CERN) ; Kersevan, Roberto (CERN) et al.
The FCC-ee is a proposed future high-energy, high-intensity and high-precision lepton collider. Here, we present the latest development for the FCC-ee interaction regions, which shall ensure optimum conditions for the particle physics experiments. [...]

Collimation system studies for the FCC-hh
/ Bruce, Roderik (CERN) ; Abramov, Andrey (JAI, UK ; CERN) ; Bertarelli, Alessandro (CERN) ; Besana, Maria Ilaria (CERN) ; Carra, Federico (CERN) ; Cerutti, Francesco (CERN) ; Faus-Golfe, Angeles (Orsay, LAL) ; Fiascaris, Maria (CERN) ; Gobbi, Giorgia (CERN) ; Krainer, Alexander (CERN) et al.
The Future Circular Collider (FCC-hh) is being designed as a 100 km ring that should collide 50 TeV proton beams. At 8.3 GJ, its stored beam energy will be a factor 28 higher than what has been achieved in the Large Hadron Collider, which has the highest stored beam energy among the colliders built so far. [...]

The (7,7) optics at CERN PS
/ Serluca, M (CERN) ; Aumon, S (CERN) ; Efthymiopoulos, I (CERN) ; Sperati, F (CERN) ; Sterbini, G (CERN) ; Tecker, F (CERN) ; Zisopoulos, P (CERN)
The PS lattice is composed by one hundred combinedfunction magnets, which set the bare tune of the machineto (Qh,Qv) = (6.25, 6.28). Low energy quadrupoles areused at injection to move the tune in a limited working pointarea [...]

Space charge studies in the PS
/ Asvesta, F (CERN) ; Bartosik, H (CERN) ; Damerau, H (CERN) ; Huschauer, A (CERN) ; Papaphilippou, Y (CERN) ; Serluca, M (CERN) ; Sterbini, G (CERN) ; Zisopoulos, P (CERN)
In this paper the results of Machine Development (MD)studies conducted at the CERN Proton Synchrotron (PS) are presented. The main focus was the investigation of new working points in an effort to characterize and potentially improve the brightness for LHC-type beams in view of the LHC Injectors Upgrade (LIU). [...]

Machine development studies for PSB extraction at 160 MeV and PSB to PS beam transfer
/ Forte, V (CERN) ; Albright, S (CERN) ; Bartmann, W (CERN) ; Borburgh, J (CERN) ; Ferrero Colomo, A (CERN) ; Damerau, H (CERN) ; Di Giovanni, G P (CERN) ; Coralejo Feliciano, L M (CERN) ; Fraser, M A (CERN) ; Gamba, D (CERN) et al.
This paper collects the machine development (MD) activities for the beam transfer studies in 2016 concerning the PSB extraction and the PSB-to-PS transfer. Many topics are covered: from the 160 MeV extraction from the PSB, useful for the future commissioning activities after the connection with Linac4, to new methodologies for measuring the magnetic waveforms of kickers and dispersion reduction schemes at PS injection, which are of great interest for the LHC Injectors Upgrade (LIU) [1] project..

New Working Point for CERN Proton Synchrotron
/ Sperati, Flavia (CERN) ; Beaumont, Anthony (CERN ; Ecole Polytechnique, Lausanne) ; Gilardoni, Simone (CERN) ; Schoerling, Daniel (CERN) ; Serluca, Maurizio (CERN) ; Sterbini, Guido (CERN)
The LHC High-luminosity project requests high brightness and intensity beams from the CERN Proton Synchrotron (PS). The generation of such beams is limited due to resonance effects at injection. [...]
