ALLEGRO FCC-ee detector concept & Noble liquid calorimetry / Pekkanen, Juska (CERN)
ALLEGRO is a proposed FCC-ee general-purpose detector concept with a noble liquid (NL) electromagnetic calorimeter (ECAL) as a central feature. Calorimetry based on liquified noble gases is a well-proven technology that has been successfully applied in numerous high-energy physics (HEP) experiments. [...]

Machine Learning for Real-Time Processing of ATLAS Liquid Argon Calorimeter Signals with FPGAs / Sur, Nairit (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (FR))
The high luminosity upgrade of the LHC (HL-LHC) will see a massive increase in the instantaneous luminosity leading to up to 200 proton-proton collisions in each bunch crossing (pileup) demanding higher performance from the LHC detectors' electronics and real-time data processing. [...]

Machine Learning for Real-Time Processing of ATLAS Liquid Argon Calorimeter Signals with FPGAs / Sur, Nairit (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (FR)) /ATLAS Collaboration
The Phase-II upgrade of the LHC will increase its instantaneous luminosity by a factor of 7 leading to the High Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC). At the HL-LHC, the number of proton-proton collisions in one bunch crossing (called pileup) increases significantly, putting more stringent requirements on the LHC detectors electronics and real-time data processing capabilities. Neutrino oscillations with atmospheric neutrinos at large liquid argon TPCs / Chatterjee, Animesh (CERN ; Ahmedabad, Phys. Res. Lab) ; De Roeck, Albert (CERN)
We propose to study atmospheric neutrino interactions with a unique event topology to distinguish neutrinos and anti-neutrinos using a liquid argon time projection chamber in an experiment such as DUNE. The detection of CC1P and CC0P events will allow to access neutrino oscillation physics complementary to accelerator based beam neutrinos. [...]

Modeling and Commissioning of a Cold Compressor String for the Superfluid Cryogenic Plant at Fermilab's Cryo-module Test Facility / Ueresin, C (Linde Kryotechnik, Pfungen) ; Decker, L (Linde Kryotechnik, Pfungen) ; Treite, P (Linde Kryotechnik, Pfungen)
In 2011, Linde Cryogenics, a division of Linde Process Plants, Tulsa, Oklahoma, was awarded the contract to deliver a 500 W at 2 K superfluid cryogenic plant to Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (FNAL) in Batavia, Illinois, USA. This system includes a cold compressor string with three centrifugal compressors and a vacuum pump skid with five volumetric pumps in parallel used to pump down helium to its saturation pressure corresponding to 2 K. Proof-of-Principle of an Energy-Efficient, Iron-Dominated Electromagnet for Physics Experiments / Devred, A (CERN) ; Ballarino, A (CERN) ; Bourcey, N (CERN) ; Mangiarotti, F (CERN) ; Milanese, A (CERN) ; Petrone, C (CERN)
A number of physics experiments call for the use of iron-dominated, normal-conducting electromagnets to produce moderate fields (2 T range) in a large gap or over a large volume. Although robust and reliable, these magnets require significant electrical power, in the MW range, and can thus be costly to operate, especially in DC mode. [...]

Weld Qualification of the Cold Mass of the Superconducting Quadrupoles Magnets (MQXF) for the HL-LHC Project / Castro, Enrique Rodriguez (Carlos III U., Madrid) ; Aviles Santillana, Ignacio (CERN) ; Sgobba, Stefano (CERN) ; Izquierdo, Gonzalo Arnau (CERN) ; Bonnin, Simon (CERN) ; Bampton, Tavis (CERN) ; Prin, Herve (CERN) ; Todesco, Ezio (CERN) ; Navas, Elisa Maria Ruiz (Carlos III U., Madrid)
The High Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC) is a major upgrade to the existing Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN, aimed at increasing the integrated luminosity of the collider by a factor of ten [1]. A key component of the HL-LHC are the superconducting Nb3Sn quadrupole magnets, known as MQXF, whose purpose is to focus the particle beam [3]. [...]

Curved-Canted-Cosine-Theta (CCCT) Dipole Prototype Development at CERN / Haziot, Ariel (CERN) ; Kirby, Glyn (CERN) ; Dallocchio, Alessandro (CERN) ; Devred, Arnaud (CERN) ; Foussat, Arnaud (CERN) ; Gentini, Luca (CERN) ; Mangiarotti, Franco J (CERN) ; Pentella, Mariano (CERN) ; Petrone, Carlo (CERN) ; Pincot, Francois-Olivier (CERN) et al.
Due to its flexibility in generating advanced field harmonic corrections and potential for low cost compared to traditional designs, the Canted Cosine Theta (CCT) configuration is particularly interesting for compact particle accelerators and gantries for medical applications. This article presents the design of a curved demonstrator named Fusillo, a Canted Cosine Theta Nb-Ti dipole magnet that is being developed at CERN, featuring a large aperture of 236 mm, a small bending radius of 1 m, a bending angle of 90$^{\circ }$, and multi-harmonic field correction, with a 3.61 T conductor peak field.
