Improvements of the SPS slow extraction electrostatic septum / Lackner, Friedrich (CERN) ; Prost, Antoine (CERN) ; Balhan, Bruno (CERN) ; Pirozzi, Fabrizio (CERN) ; Vincke, Helmut (CERN) ; Borburgh, Jan (CERN) ; Kawa, Krzysztof (CERN ; AGH-UST, Cracow) ; Jorat, Louise Olivia (CERN) ; Fraser, Matthew (CERN) ; Roudaut, Noah (CERN ; UTBM, Belfort)
The impact of high-flux protons on the inherent beam loss in the slow extraction straight from SPS towards the North Area has been recently discussed and potential improvements have been proposed. These solutions are mainly aiming to reduce the high component activation and related reduction of lifetime, as well as observed non-straightness in the anode body. [...]

Radiological Characterization Studies for the CNGS Dismantling / Ahdida, Claudia (CERN) ; Nowak, Elzbieta (CERN) ; Saury, Christelle (CERN) ; Vincke, Heinz (CERN) ; Vincke, Helmut (CERN)
A comprehensive study of the radiological CNGS (CERN Neutrinos to Gran Sasso Experiment) environment characterization is presented. It comprises the evaluation of the residual dose rates of the most relevant standalone beam line equipment, such as the target and horn, as well as overall dose levels in the cavern before and after dismantling. [...]

Findings of the Physics Beyond Colliders ECN3 Beam Delivery Task Force / Ahdida, Claudia (CERN) ; Bartosik, Hannes (CERN) ; Bernhard, Johannes (CERN) ; Brugger, Markus (CERN) ; Calviani, Marco (CERN) ; Colinet, Antoine (CERN) ; Esposito, Luigi Salvatore (CERN) ; Franqueira Ximenes, Rui (CERN) ; Fraser, Matthew Alexander (CERN) ; Gautheron, Fabrice (University of Patras (GR)) et al.
The ECN3 Beam Delivery Task Force was mandated by the PBC Study Group to assess the technical feasibility of increasing the proton beam intensity to the ECN3 hall of the North Area to satisfy the demands of a compelling set of PBC experimental physics proposals. This report summarises the findings of the Task Force that converge on a technically feasible solution with an implementation timeline that could exploit and build upon the investment already foreseen as part of Phase 1 of the NA-CONS project, and take the SPS complex into a new intensity frontier for Fixed Target physics in Run4..

Characterization of Radio-Photo-Luminescence (RPL) Dosimeters as Radiation Monitors in the CERN Accelerator Complex / Pramberger, Dejan (CERN) ; Aguiar, Ygor Q (CERN) ; Trummer, Julia (CERN) ; Vincke, Helmut (CERN)
Dosimetry is a crucial activity in irradiation campaigns to qualify electronics and materials to operate in radiation environments. In addition, it also provides means of monitoring radiation levels in accelerator environments to prevent radiation damage to the machines and improve system lifetime. [...]

The SHiP experiment at the proposed CERN SPS Beam Dump Facility / SHiP Collaboration
The Search for Hidden Particles (SHiP) Collaboration has proposed a general-purpose experimental facility operating in beam-dump mode at the CERN SPS accelerator to search for light, feebly interacting particles. The SHiP experiment incorporates two complementary detectors. [...]

The AWAKE Run 2 programme and beyond / AWAKE Collaboration
Plasma wakefield acceleration is a promising technology to reduce the size of particle accelerators. Use of high energy protons to drive wakefields in plasma has been demonstrated during Run 1 of the AWAKE programme at CERN. [...]

Track reconstruction and matching between emulsion and silicon pixel detectors for the SHiP-charm experiment / SHiP Collaboration
In July 2018 an optimization run for the proposed charm cross section measurement for SHiP was performed at the CERN SPS. A heavy, moving target instrumented with nuclear emulsion films followed by a silicon pixel tracker was installed in front of the Goliath magnet at the H4 proton beamline. [...]

Classification of radiological objects at the exit of accelerators with a dose-rate constraint / Frosio, Thomas (CERN) ; Dumont, Gerald (CERN) ; Froeschl, Robert (CERN) ; Iliopoulou, Elpida (CERN) ; Magistris, Matteo (CERN) ; Menaa, Nabil (CERN) ; Roesler, Stefan (CERN) ; Theis, Chris (CERN) ; Vincke, Heinz (CERN) ; Vincke, Helmut (CERN)
Maintenance activities and operations of high-energy particle accelerators can lead to the collection of radioactive equipment as well as waste materials. In order to ensure their proper classification as radioactive or non-radioactive, one has to quantify the activities of radionuclides produced. [...]

Sensitivity of the SHiP experiment to dark photons decaying to a pair of charged particles / SHiP Collaboration
Dark photons are hypothetical massive vector particles that could mix with ordinary photons. The simplest theoretical model is fully characterised by only two parameters: the mass of the dark photon m$_{\gamma^{\mathrm{D}}}$ and its mixing parameter with the photon, $\varepsilon$. [...]
