The Large Hadron-Electron Collider at the HL-LHC / FCC-he Study Group Collaboration
The Large Hadron electron Collider, LHeC, is the means to move deep inelastic physics following HERA to the energy frontier of particle physics as it is being exploited by the HL-LHC. The paper presents a thorough update of the initial LHeC Conceptual Design Report (CDR) published in 2012. [...]

Production and Integration of the ATLAS Insertable B-Layer / ATLAS IBL Collaboration
During the shutdown of the CERN Large Hadron Collider in 2013-2014, an additional pixel layer was installed between the existing Pixel detector of the ATLAS experiment and a new, smaller radius beam pipe. The motivation for this new pixel layer, the Insertable B-Layer (IBL), was to maintain or improve the robustness and performance of the ATLAS tracking system, given the higher instantaneous and integrated luminosities realised following the shutdown. [...]

Silicon sensors with various pixel geometries adapted for a common readout ASIC / Milovanovic, Marko (Liverpool U.) ; Burdin, S (Liverpool U.) ; Dervan, P (Liverpool U.) ; Buttar, C (Liverpool U.) ; Bates, R (Liverpool U.) ; Blue, A (Liverpool U.) ; Doonan, K (Liverpool U.) ; Wraight, K G (Liverpool U.) ; Mcmullen, T (Liverpool U.) ; Stewart, A (Liverpool U.) et al. /ATLAS UK Pixels
ATLAS is proposing to replace the entire tracking system for HL-LHC operation. The ``Letter of Intent'' baseline pixel size at higher radii was 50 × 250μm(2) (varphi × η), based on the FE-I4 readout chip, and this was optimized for the central barrel region. [...]

Development of pixel sensors with 25 $\times$ 500$\mu$m$^2$ pitch for the ATLAS HL-LHC upgrade / Burdin, S (Liverpool U.) ; Casse, G (Liverpool U.) ; Dervan, P (Liverpool U.) ; Forshaw, D (Liverpool U.) ; Hayward, H (Liverpool U.) ; Tsurin, I (Liverpool U.) ; Wormald, M (Liverpool U.)
Upgrade of the ATLAS tracker detector for high-luminosity LHC conditions requires novel approaches to the pixel sensor design. Tests of different pitch layouts represent significant part of the ATLAS upgrade program. [...]

A double-sided, shield-less stave prototype for the ATLAS Upgrade strip tracker for the High Luminosity LHC / Díez, S (LBNL, Berkeley) ; Haber, C H (LBNL, Berkeley) ; Witharm, R (LBNL, Berkeley) ; Affolder, A A (Liverpool U.) ; Allport, P P (Liverpool U.) ; Anghinolfi, F (CERN) ; Bates, R (Glasgow U.) ; Beck, G (Queen Mary, U. of London) ; Benitez, V (Barcelona, Inst. Microelectron.) ; Bernabeu, J (Valencia U., IFIC) et al.
A detailed description of the integration structures for the barrel region of the silicon strips tracker of the ATLAS Phase-II upgrade for the upgrade of the Large Hadron Collider, the so-called High Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC), is presented. This paper focuses on one of the latest demonstrator prototypes recently assembled, with numerous unique features. [...]

A double-sided silicon micro-strip Super-Module for the ATLAS Inner Detector upgrade in the High-Luminosity LHC / Gonzalez-Sevilla, S (Geneva U.) ; Affolder, A A (Liverpool U.) ; Allport, P P (Liverpool U.) ; Anghinolfi, F (CERN) ; Barbier, G (Geneva U.) ; Bates, R (Glasgow U.) ; Beck, G (Queen Mary, U. of London) ; Benitez, V (Barcelona, Inst. Microelectron.) ; Bernabeu, J (Valencia U., IFIC) ; Blanchot, G (CERN) et al.
The ATLAS experiment is a general purpose detector aiming to fully exploit the discovery potential of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN. It is foreseen that after several years of successful data-taking, the LHC physics programme will be extended in the so-called High-Luminosity LHC, where the instantaneous luminosity will be increased up to 5 × 1034 cm−2 s−1. Characterisation of n-in-p pixel sensors for high radiation environments / Tsurin, I (UNILIV) ; Affolder, A (UNILIV) ; Allport, P.P (UNILIV) ; Casse, G (UNILIV) ; Chmill, V (UNILIV) ; Huse, T (UNILIV) ; Wormald, M (UNILIV)
This work presents the first held at Liverpool University measurements of pixel sensors with n-type readout implant in the p-type bulk before and after irradiation of samples by 24 GeV protons to doses 7 10^15 and 1.5 10^16 protons/cm^2 . A comparison is given for two measurement techniques; one based on the FE-I3 readout chip designed for the ATLAS and the other using the Beetle chip developed for the LHCb experiments at CERN..

Prototype ATLAS IBL Modules using the FE-I4A Front-End Readout Chip / ATLAS IBL Collaboration
The ATLAS Collaboration will upgrade its semiconductor pixel tracking detector with a new Insertable B-layer (IBL) between the existing pixel detector and the vacuum pipe of the Large Hadron Collider. The extreme operating conditions at this location have necessitated the development of new radiation hard pixel sensor technologies and a new front-end readout chip, called the FE-I4. [...]

Results of beam tests with planar silicon pixel sensors aimed towards the ATLAS Insertable B-Layer and High Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) upgrades are presented.
