Open charm tetraquarks in broken SU(3)_F symmetry / Maiani, L. (Rome U. ; CERN) ; Polosa, A.D. (Rome U.) ; Riquer, V. (Rome U. ; CERN)
Prompted by a recent lattice QCD calculation, we review the SU(3) light quark flavor structure of charmed tetraquarks with spin-0 diquarks. Fermi statistics forces the three light quarks to be in the representation 3*x3*= 3+6*. [...]

Doubly Heavy Tetraquarks in the Born-Oppenheimer approximation / Maiani, Luciano (Rome U. ; INFN, Rome ; CERN) ; Pilloni, Alessandro (Messina U. ; INFN, Catania) ; Polosa, Antonio D. (Rome U. ; INFN, Rome) ; Riquer, Veronica (Rome U. ; INFN, Rome ; CERN)
Tetraquarks QQq*q* are found to be described remarkably well with the Quantum Chromodynamics version of the Hydrogen bond, as treated with the Born-Oppenheimer approximation. We show the robustness of the method by computing the mass of the observed Tcc tetraquark following two different paths. [...]

New Look at Hidden Charm Tetra and Pentaquark States / Ali, Ahmed (DESY) ; Maiani, Luciano (CERN) ; Borisov, Anatoly V (Moscow State U.) ; Ahmed, Ishtiaq (NCP, Islamabad) ; Aslam, M Jamil (Quaid-i-Azam U.) ; Parkhomenko, Alexander Ya (Yaroslavl State U.) ; Polosa, Antonio D (INFN, Rome) ; Rehman, Abdur (NCP, Islamabad)
The work presents the analysis of the hidden charm P-wave tetraquarks in the diquark model, using an effective Hamiltonian incorporating the dominant spin–spin, spin–orbit and tensor interactions. We compare them with other P-wave systems such as P-wave charmonia and the newly discovered c baryons, analyzed recently in this framework. [...]

Motivated by the success of the flavour physics programme carried out over the last decade at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), we characterize in detail the physics potential of its High-Luminosity and High-Energy upgrades in this domain of physics. We document the extraordinary breadth of the HL/HE-LHC programme enabled by a putative Upgrade II of the dedicated flavour physics experiment LHCb and the evolution of the established flavour physics role of the ATLAS and CMS general purpose experiments. A Theory of X and Z Multiquark Resonances / Maiani, L. (CERN) ; Polosa, A.D. (Rome U. ; INFN, Rome) ; Riquer, V. (CERN)
We introduce the hypothesis that diquarks and antidiquarks in tetraquarks are separated by a potential barrier. We show that this notion can answer satisfactorily long standing questions challenging the diquark-antidiquark model of exotic resonances. [...]

In a recent paper it is claimed that vacuum birefringence has been experimentally observed for the first time by measuring the degree of polarization of visible light from a Magnetar candidate, a neutron star with a magnetic field presumably as large as $B\sim 10^{13}$~G. The role of such a strong magnetic field is twofold. [...]
