Manifestation of the Berry phase in the atomic nucleus $^{213}$Pb

The neutron-rich $^{213}$Pb isotope was produced in the fragmentation of a primary 1 GeV $A$ $^{238}$U beam, separated in FRS in mass and atomic number, and then implanted for isomer decay $\gamma$-ray spectroscopy with the RISING setup at GSI. A newly observed isomer and its measured decay properties indicate that states in $^{213}$Pb are characterized by the seniority quantum number that counts the nucleons not in pairs coupled to angular momentum $J=0$. β decay of $^{6}$He into the α+d continuum
/ Pfützner, M (Warsaw U.) ; Dominik, W (Warsaw U.) ; Janas, Z (Warsaw U.) ; Mazzocchi, C (Warsaw U.) ; Pomorski, M (Warsaw U.) ; Bezbakh, A A (Dubna, JINR) ; Borge, M J G (Madrid, Inst. Estructura Materia ; CERN) ; Chrapkiewicz, K (Warsaw U.) ; Chudoba, V (Dubna, JINR) ; Frederickx, R (Leuven U.) et al.
The rare β-decay channel of $^{6}$He into the α+d continuum was investigated at the REX-ISOLDE facility. Bunches of postaccelerated $^{6}$He ions were implanted into the optical time projection chamber (OTPC), where the decays with emission of charged particles were recorded. [...]

New spectroscopic information on $^{211,213}\mathrm{Tl}$: A changing structure beyond the $N=126$ shell closure
/ Gottardo, A (INFN, Legnaro ; Padua U.) ; Valiente-Dobón, J J (INFN, Legnaro) ; Benzoni, G (INFN, Milan) ; Morales, A I (INFN, Milan) ; Gadea, A (Valencia U., IFIC) ; Lunardi, S (Padua U. ; INFN, Padua) ; Boutachkov, P (Darmstadt, GSI) ; Bruce, A M (Brighton U.) ; Górska, M (Darmstadt, GSI) ; Grebosz, J (Cracow, INP) et al.
The neutron-rich isotopes $^{211,213}\mathrm{Tl}$, beyond the $N=126$ shell closure, have been studied for the first time in isomer $\gamma$-ray decay, exploiting the fragmentation of a primary uranium beam at the Fragment Separator-Rare Isotopes Investigation at GSI setup. The observed isomeric states in $^{211,213}\mathrm{Tl}$ show a deviation from the seniority-like scheme of $^{209}\mathrm{Tl}$. [...]

The photon spectrum accompanying the orbital K-electron capture in the first forbidden unique decay of 81Kr was measured. The total radiation intensity for the photon energies larger than 50 keV was found to be 1.47(6) x 10^{-4} per K-capture. [...]
