High-precision analyses of supersymmetry parameters aim at reconstructing the fundamental supersymmetric theory and its breaking mechanism. A well defined theoretical framework is needed when higher-order corrections are included. [...]

Theoretical Summary, Electroweak Physics
/ Langacker, P G (Pennsylvania U.)
Aspects of theoretical electroweak physics are summarized, including the status of electroweak radiative corrections, the hadronic contribution to the running of alpha, global fits to precision data and their implication for testing the standard model and constraining new physics, and electroweak baryogenesis..

Physics Implications of Flat Directions in Free Fermionic Superstring Models; 1, Mass Spectrum and Couplings
/ Cleaver, G (Dep. of Phys. and Astronomy, Univ., of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia PA, USA ; CERN) ; Cvetic, M (Dep. of Phys. and Astronomy, Univ., of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia PA, USA) ; Espinosa, J R (CERN) ; Everett, L (Dep. of Phys. and Astronomy, Univ., of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia PA, USA) ; Langacker, P G (Dep. of Phys. and Astronomy, Univ., of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia PA, USA) ; Wang, J (Dep. of Phys. and Astronomy, Univ., of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia PA, USA)
From the "top-down" approach we investigate physics implications of the class of D- and F- flat directions formed from non-Abelian singlets which are proven flat to all orders in the nonrenormalizable superpotential, for a prototype quasi-realistic free fermionic string model with the standard model gauge group and three families (CHL5). These flat directions have at least an additional U(1)' unbroken at the string scale. [...]
