Search for $^{22}$Na in novae supported by a novel method for measuring femtosecond nuclear lifetimes
/ Fougères, Chloé (GANIL ; Argonne, PHY) ; de Oliveira Santos, François (GANIL) ; José, Jordi (Barcelona U. ; Barcelona, IEEC) ; Michelagnoli, Caterina (Laue-Langevin Inst.) ; Clément, Emmanuel (GANIL) ; Kim, Yung Hee (GANIL ; IBS, Daejeon, CENS) ; Lemasson, Antoine (GANIL) ; Guimarães, Valdir (Sao Paulo U.) ; Barrientos, Diego (CERN) ; Bemmerer, Daniel (HZDR, Dresden) et al.
Classical novae are thermonuclear explosions in stellar binary systems, and important sources of $^{26}$Al and $^{22}$Na. While gamma rays from the decay of the former radioisotope have been observed throughout the Galaxy, $^{22}$Na remains untraceable. [...]

Temperature Effect on the Radioluminescence of Cu-, Ce-, and CuCe-Doped Silica-Based Fiber Materials
/ Kerboub, Nourdine (CERN ; HCL, Lyon ; CNES, Toulouse) ; Di Francesca, Diego (CERN ; HCL, Lyon) ; Girard, Sylvain (HCL, Lyon) ; Morana, Adriana (Lyon, Ecole Centrale) ; El Hamzaoui, Hicham (Lille U.) ; Ouerdane, Youcef (HCL, Lyon) ; Bouwmans, Géraud (Lille U.) ; Habert, Rémi (Lille U.) ; Boukenter, Aziz (HCL, Lyon) ; Capoen, Bruno (Lille U.) et al.
We evaluate the temperature effect on the X-ray radiation-induced luminescence (RIL) of Cu- or Ce-single-doped and CuCe-codoped silica glass. Previous investigations showed that these optical materials exhibit interesting dosimetry properties, such as very good detection capabilities and linear response over a large range of dose rate. An iron- plastic-scintillator shashlik calorimeter with a 4.3 $X_0$ longitudinal segmentation was tested in November 2016 at the CERN East Area facility with charged particles up to 5 GeV. The performance of this detector in terms of electron energy resolution, linearity, response to muons and hadron showers are presented in this paper and compared with simulation. [...]

Dipole and quadrupole moments of $^{73-78}$Cu as a test of the robustness of the $Z=28$ shell closure near $^{78}$Ni

Nuclear spins and precise values of the magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole moments of the ground-states of neutron-rich $^{76-78}$Cu isotopes were measured using the Collinear Resonance Ionization Spectroscopy (CRIS) experiment at ISOLDE, CERN. The nuclear moments of the less exotic $^{73,75}$Cu isotopes were re-measured with similar precision, yielding values that are consistent with earlier measurements. [...]

Dark Matter Benchmark Models for Early LHC Run-2 Searches: Report of the ATLAS/CMS Dark Matter Forum
/ Abercrombie, Daniel (MIT) ; Akchurin, Nural (Texas Tech.) ; Akilli, Ece (Geneva U.) ; Alcaraz Maestre, Juan (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Allen, Brandon (MIT) ; Alvarez Gonzalez, Barbara (CERN) ; Andrea, Jeremy (Strasbourg, IPHC) ; Arbey, Alexandre (CERN ; Lyon Observ.) ; Azuelos, Georges (TRIUMF) ; Azzi, Patrizia (INFN, Padua) et al.
This document is the final report of the ATLAS-CMS Dark Matter Forum, a forum organized by the ATLAS and CMS collaborations with the participation of experts on theories of Dark Matter, to select a minimal basis set of dark matter simplified models that should support the design of the early LHC Run-2 searches. A prioritized, compact set of benchmark models is proposed, accompanied by studies of the parameter space of these models and a repository of generator implementations. [...]

The hadronic part of the electron structure function F2e has been measured for the first time, using e+e− data collected by the DELPHI experiment at LEP, at centre-of-mass energies of s=91.2–209.5 GeV . The data analysis is simpler than that of the measurement of the photon structure function. [...]

Precision predictions for direct gaugino and slepton production at the LHC
/ Fuks, B. (CERN ; Strasbourg, IPHC) ; Klasen, M. (Munster U., ITP) ; Lamprea, D.R. (Munster U., ITP) ; Rothering, M. (Munster U., ITP)
The search for electroweak superpartners has recently moved to the centre of interest at the LHC. We provide the currently most precise theoretical predictions for these particles, use them to assess the precision of parton shower simulations, and reanalyse public experimental results assuming more general decompositions of gauginos and sleptons..
