Optimizing Provisioning of LCG Software Stacks with Kubernetes / Bachmann, Richard (CERN ; Norwegian U. Sci. Tech.) ; Ganis, Gerardo (CERN) ; Konstantinov, Dmitri (Serpukhov, IHEP) ; Razumov, Ivan (Serpukhov, IHEP) ; Heinz, Johannes Martin (Hochschule, Eng. Econ., Karlsruhe)
The building, testing and deployment of coherent large software stacks is very challenging, in particular when they consist of the diverse set of packages required by the LHC*** experiments, the CERN Beams department and data analysis services such as SWAN. These software stacks comprise a large number of packages (Monte Carlo generators, machine learning tools, Python modules, HEP**** specific software), all available for several compilers, operating systems and hardware architectures. Using CVMFS to distribute LCG Releases / Heinz, Johannes Martin (speaker)
This talk outlines the usage of the CernVM file system in the EP-SFT-SPI section at CERN. Its task is to distribute and continuously update a software stack (called LCG Releases) that is used by ATLAS, LHCb, SWAN and several more. [...]

Search for Higgs boson production in association with a pair of top-quarks with the Atlas detector / Wolf, Tim Michael Heinz (FOM - Institute SAF Nikhef and University of Amsterdam/Nikhef) /ATLAS Collaboration
A great success of the Standard Model (SM) was the discovery of a Higgs boson in 2012. Measuring its properties and yet unobserved production and decay modes provides a test of the validity of the SM. [...]

Higher harmonic anisotropic flow measurements of charged particles in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 2.76 TeV / ALICE Collaboration
We report on the first measurement of the triangular v3, quadrangular v4, and pentagonal v5 charged particle flow in Pb-Pb collisions at 2.76 TeV measured with the ALICE detector at the CERN Large Hadron Collider. We show that the triangular flow can be described in terms of the initial spatial anisotropy and its fluctuations, which provides strong constraints on its origin. [...]

Rapidity and transverse momentum dependence of inclusive J/$\psi$ production in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV / ALICE Collaboration
The ALICE experiment at the LHC has studied inclusive J/psi production at central and forward rapidities in pp collisions at sqrt(s) = 7 TeV. In this Letter, we report on the first results obtained detecting the J/psi through its dilepton decay into e+e- and mu+mu- pairs in the rapidity range |y|<0.9 and 2.5<y<4, respectively, and with acceptance down to zero p_T. Femtoscopy of $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}$=0.9 and 7 TeV at the LHC with two-pion Bose-Einstein correlations / ALICE Collaboration
We report on the high statistics two-pion correlation functions from pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$=0.9 TeV and $\sqrt{s}$=7 TeV, measured by the ALICE experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. The correlation functions as well as the extracted source radii scale with event multiplicity and pair momentum. [...]

Two-pion Bose-Einstein correlations in central PbPb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 2.76 TeV / ALICE Collaboration
The first measurement of two-pion Bose--Einstein correlations in central PbPb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 2.76 TeV at the Large Hadron Collider is presented. We observe a growing trend with energy now not only for the longitudinal and the outward but also for the sideward pion source radius. [...]

Production of pions, kaons and protons in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 900 GeV with ALICE at the LHC / ALICE Collaboration
The production of $\pi^+, pi^-, K^+, K^-$, p, and $\bar{p}$ at mid-rapidity has been measured in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 900 GeV with the ALICE detector. Particle identification is performed using the specific energy loss in the inner tracking silicon detector and the time projection chamber. [...]

Centrality dependence of the charged-particle multiplicity density at mid-rapidity in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 2.76 TeV / ALICE Collaboration
The centrality dependence of the charged-particle multiplicity density at mid-rapidity in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 2.76 TeV is presented. The charged-particle density normalized per participating nucleon pair increases by about a factor 2 from peripheral (70-80%) to central (0-5%) collisions. [...]
