Scalar Leptoquarks in Leptonic Processes / Crivellin, Andreas (CERN ; Zurich U. ; PSI, Villigen) ; Greub, Christoph (U. Bern, AEC) ; Müller, Dario (Zurich U. ; PSI, Villigen) ; Saturnino, Francesco (U. Bern, AEC)
Leptoquarks are hypothetical new particles, which couple quarks directly to leptons. They experienced a renaissance in recent years as they are prime candidates to explain the so-called \textit{flavor anomalies}, i.e. [...]

Matching of gauge invariant dimension-six operators for $b\to s$ and $b\to c$ transitions / Aebischer, Jason (Bern U. ; U. Bern, AEC) ; Crivellin, Andreas (CERN) ; Fael, Matteo (U. Bern, AEC ; Bern U.) ; Greub, Christoph (U. Bern, AEC ; Bern U.)
New physics realized above the electroweak scale can be encoded in a model independent way in the Wilson coefficients of higher dimensional operators which are invariant under the Standard Model gauge group. In this article, we study the matching of the $SU(3)_C \times SU(2)_L \times U(1)_Y$ gauge invariant dim-6 operators on the standard $B$ physics Hamiltonian relevant for $b \to s$ and $b\to c$ transitions. 1-loop SQCD corrections to the decay of top-squarks to charm and neutralino in the generic MSSM / Aebischer, Jason (U. Bern, AEC ; Bern U.) ; Crivellin, Andreas (CERN) ; Greub, Christoph (U. Bern, AEC ; Bern U.)
In this article we calculate the 1-loop supersymmetric QCD (SQCD) corrections to the decay $\tilde u_1\to c \tilde\chi^0_1$ in the MSSM with generic flavour structure. This decay mode is phenomenologically important if the mass difference between the lightest squark $\tilde u_1$ (which is assumed to be mainly stop-like) and the neutralino LSP $\tilde \chi^0_1$ is smaller than the top mass. Towards the NNLL precision in $\bar B \to X_s \gamma$ / Asatrian, Hrachia M. (Yerevan Phys. Inst.) ; Hovhannisyan, Artyom (Yerevan Phys. Inst.) ; Poghosyan, Vahagn (Yerevan Phys. Inst.) ; Greub, Christoph (Bern U.) ; Hurth, Tobias (CERN ; SLAC)
The present NLL prediction for the decay rate of the rare inclusive process $\bar B \to X_s \gamma$ has a large uncertainty due to the charm mass renormalization scheme ambiguity. We estimate that this uncertainty will be reduced by a factor of 2 at the NNLL level. [...]

We compute perturbative QCD corrections to the lifetime splitting between the charged and neutral $B$ meson in the framework of the heavy quark expansion. These next-to-leading logarithmic corrections are necessary for a meaningful use of hadronic matrix elements of local operators from lattice gauge theory. [...]

A new model-independent analysis of $B \to X_{s\gamma}$ in supersymmetry / Besmer, Thomas (Zurich U.) ; Greub, Christoph (Bern U.) ; Hurth, Tobias (CERN)
Using the example of the rare decay $B \to X_s \gamma$, we analyse the importance of interference effects for the bounds on the parameters in the squark mass matrices within the unconstrained MSSM. In former model-independent analyses no correlations between the different sources of flavour violation were taken into account. [...]

Bounds on flavour violating parameters in supersymmetry / Besmer, Thomas (Zurich U.) ; Greub, Christoph (Bern U.) ; Hurth, Tobias (CERN)
We investigate the constraints on the flavour violating parameters from the decay B --> X_s gamma, taking into account the interplay of the various sources of flavour violation in the unconstrained MSSM. We present a systematic leading logarithmic QCD analysis of these model-independent constraints, including contributions from gluinos, neutralinos, charginos, charged Higgs bosons and interferences between them. QCD corrections to the gluino induced contribution to b --> s gamma are shown to be important in order to extract reliable bounds on the off-diagonal elements of the squark mass matrices..

Gluino Contribution to Radiative B Decays : Organization of QCD Corrections and Leading Order Results / Borzumati, Francesca (CERN ; SISSA, Trieste) ; Greub, Christoph (Bern U.) ; Hurth, Tobias (CERN ; Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Wyler, Daniel (Zurich, ETH)
The gluino-induced contributions to the decay b-> s gamma are investigated in supersymmetric frameworks with generic sources of flavour violation. It is shown that, when QCD corrections are taken into account, the relevant operator basis of the Standard Model effective Hamiltonian gets enlarged to contain: i) magnetic and chromomagnetic operators with a factor of alpha_s and weighted by a quark mass m_b or m_c; ii) magnetic and chromomagnetic operators of lower dimensionality, also containing alpha_s; iii) four-quark operators weighted by a factor alpha_s^2.
