Basis for Anomalous Quartic Gauge Couplings / Durieux, Gauthier (Louvain U., CP3) ; Remmen, Grant N. (New York U., CCPP) ; Rodd, Nicholas L. (LBL, Berkeley ; UC, Berkeley) ; Éboli, O.J.P. (Sao Paulo U.) ; Gonzalez-Garcia, M.C. (YITP, Stony Brook ; ICREA, Barcelona ; Barcelona, Autonoma U.) ; Kondo, Dan (Tokyo U., IPMU ; Tokyo U., ICRR) ; Murayama, Hitoshi (LBL, Berkeley ; UC, Berkeley ; Tokyo U., IPMU ; Tokyo U., ICRR) ; Okabe, Risshin (Tokyo U., IPMU ; Tokyo U., ICRR)
In this note, we give a definitive basis for the dimension-eight operators leading to quartic - but no cubic - interactions among electroweak gauge bosons. These are often called anomalous quartic gauge couplings, or aQGCs. [...]

Focus topics for the ECFA study on Higgs / Top / EW factories / de Blas, Jorge (Granada U.) ; Koppenburg, Patrick (Nikhef, Amsterdam) ; List, Jenny (DESY) ; Maltoni, Fabio (Louvain U.) ; Maestre, Juan Alcaraz (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Alimena, Juliette (DESY) ; Alison, John (Carnegie Mellon U.) ; Azzi, Patrizia (INFN, Padua) ; Azzurri, Paolo (INFN, Pisa) ; Bagnaschi, Emanuele (CERN ; INFN, Italy) et al.
In order to stimulate new engagement and trigger some concrete studies in areas where further work would be beneficial towards fully understanding the physics potential of an $e^+e^-$ Higgs / Top / Electroweak factory, we propose to define a set of focus topics. [...]

Higher-derivative relations between scalars and gluons / Bonnefoy, Quentin (UC, Berkeley ; LBL, Berkeley) ; Durieux, Gauthier (CERN ; Louvain U., CP3) ; Roosmale Nepveu, Jasper (Humboldt U., Berlin ; DESY)
We extend the covariant color-kinematics duality introduced by Cheung and Mangan to effective field theories. We focus in particular on relations between the effective field theories of gluons only and of gluons coupled to bi-adjoint scalars. [...]

EFT matching from analyticity and unitarity / De Angelis, Stefano (IPhT, Saclay) ; Durieux, Gauthier (CERN)
We present a new on-shell method for the matching of ultraviolet models featuring massive states onto their massless effective field theory. We employ a dispersion relation in the space of complex momentum dilations to capture, in a single variable, the relevant analytic structure of scattering amplitudes at any multiplicity. [...]

Observation of four-top-quark production in the multilepton final state with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
This paper presents the observation of four-top-quark ($t\bar{t}t\bar{t}$) production in proton-proton collisions at the LHC. The analysis is performed using an integrated luminosity of 140 fb$^{-1}$ at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV collected using the ATLAS detector. [...]

Charting the Higgs self-coupling boundaries / Durieux, Gauthier (CERN) ; McCullough, Matthew (CERN) ; Salvioni, Ennio (Padua U.)
Could new physics first manifest itself in Higgs self-coupling measurements? In other words, how large could deviations in the Higgs self-coupling be, if other Higgs and electroweak measurements are compatible with Standard Model predictions? Using theoretical arguments supported by concrete models we derive a bound on the ratio of self-coupling to single-Higgs coupling deviations in ultraviolet completions of the Standard Model where parameters are not fine-tuned. Broadly speaking, a one-loop hierarchy is allowed. [...]

Gegenbauer's Twin / Durieux, Gauthier (CERN) ; McCullough, Matthew (CERN) ; Salvioni, Ennio (U. Padua, Dept. Phys. Astron. ; INFN, Padua)
In Twin Higgs models the dominant source of fine-tuning is the cancellation of order $v^2/f^2$ required to obtain a Standard Model-like Higgs, where $v$ and $f$ are the electroweak and new physics scales, respectively. Recently proposed Gegenbauer Goldstone models naturally realise $v^2/f^2 \ll 1$ and hence remove this source of fine-tuning. [...]
