Design, fabrication, and high-gradient testing of an $X$-band, traveling-wave accelerating structure milled from copper halves
/ Argyropoulos, Theodoros (CERN) ; Catalan-Lasheras, Nuria (CERN) ; Grudiev, Alexej (CERN) ; Mcmonagle, Gerard (CERN) ; Rodriguez-Castro, Enrique (CERN) ; Syrachev, Igor (CERN) ; Wegner, Rolf (CERN) ; Woolley, Ben (CERN) ; Wuensch, Walter (CERN) ; Zha, Hao (CERN) et al.
A prototype 11.994 GHz, traveling-wave accelerating structure for the Compact Linear Collider has been built, using the novel technique of assembling the structure from milled halves. The use of milled halves has many advantages when compared to a structure made from individual disks. [...]

Fabrication and high-gradient testing of an accelerating structure made from milled halves
/ Wuensch, Walter (CERN) ; Argyropoulos, Theodoros (CERN ; Valencia U., IFIC) ; Bowden, Gordon (SLAC) ; Catalán Lasheras, Nuria (CERN) ; Dolgashev, Valery (SLAC) ; Esperante Pereira, Daniel (Valencia U., IFIC ; CERN) ; Giansiracusa, Paul (Melbourne U.) ; Giner Navarro, Jorge (CERN ; Valencia U., IFIC) ; Grudiev, Alexej (CERN) ; Haase, Andrew (SLAC) et al.
Accelerating structures made from parts which follow symmetry planes offer many potential advantages over traditional disk-based structures: more options for joining (from bonding to welding), following this more options for material state (heat treated or not) and potentially lower cost since structures can be made from fewer parts. An X-band structure made from milled halves, and with a standard benchmarked CLIC test structure design has been fabricated and high-gradient tested above 95 MV/m..

New Quantity Describing the Pulse Shape Dependence of the High Gradient Limit in Single Cell Standing-Wave Accelerating Structures
/ Shi, Jiaru (Tsinghua U., Beijing ; Tsinghua U., Beijing, KLPRI) ; Chen, Huaibi (Tsinghua U., Beijing ; Tsinghua U., Beijing, KLPRI) ; Dolgashev, Valery (SLAC) ; Grudiev, Alexej (CERN) ; Higashi, Yasuo (KEK, Tsukuba) ; Spataro, Bruno (Frascati) ; Wu, Xiaowei (Tsinghua U., Beijing ; Tsinghua U., Beijing, KLPRI) ; Wuensch, Walter (CERN)
A new quantity has been developed to study the relationship among the breakdown rate, the pulse width and the gradient. Difference pulse shapes can be treated by introducing a Green's function. [...]

An X-band Dielectric-based Wakefield Power Extractor
/ Jing, Chunguang (Euclid Techlabs, Solon) ; Antipov, Sergey (Euclid Techlabs, Solon) ; Kanareykin, Alexei (Euclid Techlabs, Solon) ; Schoessow, Paul (Euclid Techlabs, Solon) ; Conde, Manoel (Argonne) ; Gai, Wei (Argonne) ; Power, John (Argonne) ; Dolgashev, Valery (SLAC) ; Lewandowski, James (SLAC) ; Tantawi, Sami (SLAC) et al.
An X-band dielectric-based wakefield power extractor is under development to function as a high power rf source primarily for Two Beam Accelerator applications. A low surface electric field to gradient ratio and low fabrication cost are two main advantages of the dielectric-loaded accelerating/decelerating structure. [...]

Results from the CLIC X-BAND structure test program at the NLCTA
/ Adolphsen, Chris (SLAC) ; Bowden, Gordon (SLAC) ; Dolgashev, Valery (SLAC) ; Laurent, Lisa (SLAC) ; Tantawi, Sami (SLAC) ; Wang, Faya (SLAC) ; Wang, W Juwen (SLAC) ; Doebert, Steffen (CERN) ; Grudiev, Alexej (CERN) ; Riddone, Germana (CERN) et al.
As part of a SLAC-CERN-KEK collaboration on high gradient X-band structure research, several prototype structures for the CLIC linear collider study have been tested using two of the high power (300 MW) X-band rf stations in the NLCTA facility at SLAC. These structures differ in terms of their manufacturing (brazed disks and clamped quadrants), gradient profile (amount by which the gradient increases along the structure which optimizes efficiency and maximizes sustainable gradient) and HOM damping (use of slots or waveguides to rapidly dissipate dipole mode energy).
