The paper reviews measurements of the radiation hardness of CVD diamond for 24 GeV/c proton irradiation at fluences up to $5 \times 10^{15}$ protons/cm$^2$ . The results not only show radiation damage but also an annealing effect that is dominant at levels around %10^{15}$ protons/cm$^2$ . [...]

New developments in CVD diamond for detector applications / Adam, W (OAW, Vienna) ; Berdermann, E (Darmstadt, GSI) ; Bergonzo, P (CEA-DTA-LETI, Grenoble) ; de Boer, W (Karlsruhe U.) ; Bogani, F (Florence U., LENS) ; Borchi, E (U. Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) diamond has been discussed extensively as an alternative sensor material for use very close to the interaction region of the LHC and other machines where extreme radiation conditions exist. During the last seven years the RD42 collaboration has developed diamond detectors and tested them with LHC electronics towards the end of creating a device usable by experiments. [...]

A Particle Consistent with the Higgs Boson Observed with the ATLAS Detector at the Large Hadron Collider / ATLAS Collaboration
Nearly 50 years ago, theoretical physicists proposed that a field permeates the universe and gives energy to the vacuum. This field was required to explain why some, but not all, fundamental particles have mass. [...]

Observation of a new particle in the search for the Standard Model Higgs boson with the ATLAS detector at the LHC / ATLAS Collaboration
A search for the Standard Model Higgs boson in proton-proton collisions with the ATLAS detector at the LHC is presented. The datasets used correspond to integrated luminosities of approximately 4.8 fb$^{-1}$ collected at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV in 2011 and 5.8 fb$^{-1}$ at $\sqrt{s}$ = 8 TeV in 2012. [...]

Search for lepton flavour violation in the $e\mu$ continuum with the ATLAS detector in $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV pp collisions at the LHC / ATLAS Collaboration
This paper presents a search for the t-channel exchange of an R-parity violating scalar top quark ($\tilde{t}$) in the $e^{\pm}\mu^{\pm}$ continuum using 2.1/fb of data collected by the ATLAS detector in $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV pp collisions at the Large Hadron Collider. Data are found to be consistent with the expectation from the Standard Model backgrounds. [...]

Search for decays of stopped, long-lived particles from 7 TeV pp collisions with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
New metastable massive particles with electric and colour charge are features of many theories beyond the Standard Model. A search is performed for long-lived gluino-based R-hadrons with the ATLAS detector at the LHC using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 31 pb^-1. [...]

Jet energy measurement with the ATLAS detector in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV / ATLAS Collaboration
The jet energy scale (JES) and its systematic uncertainty are determined for jets measured with the ATLAS detector at the LHC in proton-proton collision data at a centre-of-mass energy of sqrt(s) = 7 TeV corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 38 inverse pb. Jets are reconstructed with the anti-kt algorithm with distance parameters R=0.4 or R=0.6. [...]

Measurement of the production cross section for $Z/\gamma^*$ in association with jets in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
Results are presented on the production of jets of particles in association with a Z/gamma* boson, in proton-proton collisions at sqrt(s) = 7 TeV with the ATLAS detector. The analysis includes the full 2010 data set, collected with a low rate of multiple proton-proton collisions in the accelerator, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 36 pb^-1. [...]

A study of the material in the ATLAS inner detector using secondary hadronic interactions / ATLAS Collaboration
The ATLAS inner detector is used to reconstruct secondary vertices due to hadronic interactions of primary collision products, so probing the location and amount of material in the inner region of ATLAS. Data collected in 7 TeV pp collisions at the LHC, with a minimum bias trigger, are used for comparisons with simulated events. [...]
