Euclid preparation. Sensitivity to non-standard particle dark matter model / Euclid Collaboration
The Euclid mission of the European Space Agency will provide weak gravitational lensing and galaxy clustering surveys that can be used to constrain the standard cosmological model and its extensions, with an opportunity to test the properties of dark matter beyond the minimal cold dark matter paradigm. [...]

Euclid. IV. The NISP Calibration Unit / Euclid Collaboration
The near-infrared calibration unit (NI-CU) on board Euclid's Near-Infrared Spectrometer and Photometer (NISP) is the first astronomical calibration lamp based on light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to be operated in space. [...]

Euclid: Constraining linearly scale-independent modifications of gravity with the spectroscopic and photometric primary probes / Euclid Collaboration
The future Euclid space satellite mission will offer an invaluable opportunity to constrain modifications to Einstein's general relativity at cosmic scales. We focus on modified gravity models characterised, at linear scales, by a scale-independent growth of perturbations while featuring different testable types of derivative screening mechanisms at smaller non-linear scales [...]

A Precision Measurement of Charm Dimuon Production in Neutrino Interactions from the NOMAD Experiment / NOMAD Collaboration
We present our new measurement of the cross-section for charm dimuon production in neutrino-iron interactions based upon the full statistics collected by the NOMAD experiment. After background subtraction we observe 15,344 charm dimuon events, providing the largest sample currently available. [...]

Study of $B^{0} \rightarrow D^{*-}\pi^{+}\pi^{-}\pi^{+}$ and $B^{0} \rightarrow D^{*-}K^{+}\pi^{-}\pi^{+}$ decays / LHCb Collaboration
Using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at $\sqrt{s} =$ 7 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb$^{-1}$, the ratio of branching fractions of the $B^{0}\rightarrow D^{*-}\pi^{+}\pi^{-}\pi^{+}$ decay relative to the $B^{0} \rightarrow D^{*-}\pi^{+}$ decay is measured to be \begin{equation*} \frac{\mathcal{B}(B^{0}\rightarrow D^{*-}\pi^{+}\pi^{-}\pi^{+})}{\mathcal{B}(B^{0} \rightarrow D^{*-}\pi^{+})} = 2.64 \pm 0.04\,(\text{stat.}) \pm 0.13\,(\text{syst.})\, . \label{eq:CF_BF_ratio_result} \end{equation*} The Cabibbo-suppressed decay $B^{0}\rightarrow D^{*-}K^{+}\pi^{-}\pi^{+}$ is observed for the first time and the measured ratio of branching fractions is \begin{equation*} \frac{\mathcal{B}(B^{0}\rightarrow D^{*-}K^{+}\pi^{-}\pi^{+})}{\mathcal{B}(B^{0} \rightarrow D^{*-}\pi^{+}\pi^{-}\pi^{+})} = (6.47 \pm 0.37\,(\text{stat.}) \pm 0.35\,(\text{syst.})) \times 10^{-2} \label{eq:CS_BF_ratio_result}\, . Measurement of the $B^0 \to K^{*0}e^+e^-$ branching fraction at low dilepton mass / LHCb Collaboration
The branching fraction of the rate decay $B^0 \rightarrow K^{*0}e^+e^-$ in the dilepton mass region from 30 to 1000 MeV$/c^2$ has been measured by the LHCb experiment, using $pp$ collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb$^{-1}$, at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV. The decay mode $B^0 \rightarrow J/\psi(e^+e^-) K^{*0}$ is utilized as a normalization channel. [...]

Measurements of the branching fractions of $B^{+} \to p \bar{p} K^{+}$ decays / LHCb Collaboration
The branching fractions of the decay $B^{+} \to p \bar p K^{+}$ for different intermediate states are measured using data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb$^{-1}$, collected by the LHCb experiment. The total branching fraction, its charmless component $(M_{p\bar p} <2.85 $ $ GeV/c^{2})$ and the branching fractions via the resonant $c\bar c$ states $\eta_{c}(1S)$ and $\psi(2S)$ relative to the decay via a $J/\psi$ intermediate state are \begin{align*} \frac{{\mathcal B}(B^{+} \to p \bar p K^{+})_{total}}{{\mathcal B}(B^{+} \to J/\psi K^{+} \to p \bar p K^{+})}=& \, 4.91 \pm 0.19 \, {(\rm stat)} \pm 0.14 \, {(\rm syst)},\\ \frac{{\mathcal B}(B^{+} \to p \bar p K^{+})_{M_{p\bar p} <2.85 {GeV/}c^{2}}}{{\mathcal B}(B^{+} \to J/\psi K^{+} \to p \bar p K^{+})}=& \, 2.02 \pm 0.10 \, {(\rm stat)}\pm 0.08 \, {(\rm syst)},\\ \frac{{\mathcal B} (B^{+} \to \eta_{c}(1S) K^{+} \to p \bar p K^{+})}{{\mathcal B}(B^{+} \to J/\psi K^{+} \to p \bar p K^{+})} = & \, 0.578 \pm 0.035 \, {(\rm stat)} \pm 0.027 \, {(\rm syst)},\\ \frac{{\mathcal B} (B^{+} \to \psi(2S) K^{+} \to p \bar p K^{+})}{{\mathcal B}(B^{+} \to J/\psi K^{+} \to p \bar p K^{+})}=& \, 0.080 \pm 0.012 \, {(\rm stat)} \pm 0.009 \, {(\rm syst)}.\\ \end{align*} Upper limits on the $B^{+}$ branching fractions into the $\eta_{c}(2S)$ meson and into the charmonium-like states $X(3872)$ and $X(3915)$ are also obtained..

Search for rare $B^0_{(s)}\rightarrow \mu^+ \mu^- \mu^+ \mu^-$ decays / LHCb Collaboration
A search for the decays $B^0_{s}\rightarrow \mu^+ \mu^- \mu^+ \mu^-$ and $B^0 \rightarrow \mu^+ \mu^- \mu^+ \mu^-$ is performed using data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb$^{-1}$, collected with the LHCb detector in 2011. The number of candidates observed is consistent with the expected background and, assuming phase-space models of the decays, limits on the branching fractions are set: ${\cal B}(B^0_{s}\rightarrow \mu^+ \mu^- \mu^+ \mu^-) < 1.6 \ (1.2) \times 10^{-8}$ and ${\cal B}(B^0 \rightarrow \mu^+ \mu^- \mu^+ \mu^-)< 6.6 \ (5.3) \times 10^{-9}$ at 95% (90%) confidence level. LHCb conditions database operation assistance systems / Clemencic, M (CERN) ; Shapoval, I (CERN ; Kharkov, KIPT) ; Cattaneo, M (CERN) ; Degaudenzi, H (CERN ; Ecole Polytechnique, Lausanne) ; Santinelli, R (CERN)
The Conditions Database (CondDB) of the LHCb experiment provides versioned, time dependent geometry and conditions data for all LHCb data processing applications (simulation, high level trigger (HLT), reconstruction, analysis) in a heterogeneous computing environment ranging from user laptops to the HLT farm and the Grid. These different use cases impose front-end support for multiple database technologies (Oracle and SQLite are used). [...]
