Abstract The data are obtained from p interactions in the CERN 81 cm hydrogen bubble chamber at several momenta between 0.3 and 0.7 GeV/c corresponding to (s)=3.80 GeV/sup 2/. About 7000 events with one visible K/sub s//sup 0/ at least were recorded corresponding to a sample of about 10/sup 4/ weighted charged pions. The results indicate that at small energies or, in any case, when a few intermediate resonances are expected to dominate, a statistical description as the thermodynamical one, can be still adequate, provided that the contributions of such resonances are incorporated in the model.
