"Esso Tokyo" build in 1976. Sold as Red Seagull" in 1985.
Sold in 2000 as "Olympia Spirit". Scrapped in China in 2003.

The Esso Tokyo at 400,000 dwt Ions is the largest of the 22 Exxon tankers that are drydocking in our local shipyards this year. The
Ultra-Large Crude Carrier (ULCC) underwent two weeks of maintenance and repair work at the Mitsubishi Shipyard recently.

The two sisterships "Esso Tokyo" (406.258 dwt) and "Esso Japan" (406.640 dwt), both built 1976,
are on this picture laid up in Ålesund, Norway, July, 1985.
