'Today is International Men's Day (IMD). While most of us have heard of and may celebrate International Women's Day (IWD) on March 8 every year, many will not know that there's also the equivalent awareness day for men. The aim is to celebrate male cultural, political and socioeconomic achievements, while also shining a light on the issues that half of the population face.

IMD was created just over a decade ago, in order to give men an equivalent to the century-old IWD, but some are opposed to the idea of a day dedicated to celebrating men, arguing that it in some way waters down the female awareness day, which continues to shine a light on the very real problem of gender inequality. Others, however, fully respect the importance of IMD in addressing the issues facing men that need highlighting.'

'At the Conservative Party Conference this year, there was a “Case for a Minister for Men and Boys” panel event. On this panel was Dr Luke Evans, MP for Hinckley and Bosworth – a vocal advocate for positive body image whilst in Parliament. The topics discussed varied from “health, male body image and education, to suicide”.

This is not the first time that a Minister holding this portfolio has been proposed. Earlier in 2024, a petition was launched to appoint a Minister for Men and Boys to “address problems that either exclusively or disproportionately involve men”. The petition received 6,444 signatures and was ultimately closed. Former MP for Don Valley Nick Fletcher discussed the importance of having a Minister in September 2023. Various charities such as SurvivorsUK and Gender Parity UK have pressurised political parties into calling for a Minister in their manifestos.

'Women between the ages of 25 and 34 continue to be more likely than men in the same age group to have a bachelor’s degree. The gender gap in bachelor’s degree completion appears in every major racial or ethnic group, though the size of the gap varies widely.

n 1995, young men and women were equally likely to hold a bachelor’s degree (25% each). Since then, there has been a growing gap between men and women in college completion.

Today, 47% of U.S. women ages 25 to 34 have a bachelor’s degree, compared with 37% of men.

The share of young women with a bachelor’s degree has increased by 22 percentage points since 1995, from 25% to 47%. Over the same period, men have seen a smaller increase (12 points, from 25% to 37%).'

'The defeat of Kamala Harris has triggered an outpouring of feminist behaviors such as online meltdowns, scornful invectives (“misogynist”), and threats of bodily harm (1). Social media has seen a spike in online videos promoting the use of Aqua Tofana, a tasteless poison that women used in the 17th century to poison their husbands. One Aqua Tofana video registered 1.3 million Likes since November 5. (2)

Hours after the election results were announced, feminists launched a 4B Movement, which advocates for No marriage, No childbirth, No dating, and No sex by women (3). 4B originated in South Korea, which not surprisingly, now has the world’s lowest fertility rate, triggering fears of population collapse (4). The 4B Movement is a dystopian recipe for “loneliness, bitterness, and depression,” observes writer Conn Carroll (5).'

'A Northwestern University graduate program recently announced that 50 percent of its new students are women, leading to questions about whether the institution is prioritizing students’ gender over academic merit.

Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management also is the subject of a new Title IX complaint that claims several of its programs and scholarships discriminate against men.

This fall, the Kellogg School accepted 524 students into its two-year masters of business administration program, and 50 percent are women, according to a recent article on the school’s website.

The specific factors were not listed, but the article mentioned that students’ diverse experiences, academic excellence, and extracurricular activities played a part in their acceptance into the Evanston, Illinois university.

The post also listed a few of the demographic groups to which the graduate students belong, including “11% [who] identify as LGBTQ+” and “40% [who are] are international students.”

Nice video here which describes how much of male sexual behavior is potentially criminal while women have few restrictions on their sexual behavior. Very interesting.

'In 2020, Joe Biden won young men under 30 by 15 points. In 2024, Donald Trump won them by 13 points. What happened, and what can Democrats do about it? As someone who has been elected three times to the board of directors of the National Organization for Women in New York City, I was worried about dynamics that I felt few Democrats were registering.

I saw these repeatedly as I was researching my book, “The Boy Crisis.” I recall interviewing a young man from Mill Valley, California, a city with deep Democratic Party ties. As the interview concluded, he broke down, “I wish I hadn’t been born male.”'

'Late in the US presidential election campaign, Democrats discovered a serious problem. Young men, minorities especially, had abandoned the party in droves. An American Compass poll, conducted with YouGov in early October, captured a snapshot: 20 per cent of young non-white men had not yet settled on either Donald Trump or Kamala Harris, and those who had decided were evenly split. 

Harris did not know what to say to these defectors. Her coalition was built on an identity politics that presumed an alliance among younger and LGBTQ+ voters, women and people of colour, all sharing the same commitment to a progressive vision of social justice. Somewhat awkwardly, the actual agenda — fighting climate change and forgiving student debt, resisting any restrictions on immigration or abortion — aligned primarily with the interests and priorities of a white, female, college-educated elite. But anyone who looked like a coalition member was expected to vote accordingly.'

'For years, the phrase "toxic masculinity" took over discussions about men. Any success by men was discounted as a privilege of the patriarchy. The #MeToo movement presumed men guilty until proven innocent.

Men were told not so subtly to be quiet and to fade away. They were more dangerous than a bear in the woods. And less necessary than a fish with a bicycle.

The Harris campaign doubled down on this narrative, focusing on young women to the point of pandering. She hung out on "The View" and "Call Her Daddy," and snubbed Rogan's invitation to speak to the millions of young men who listen to his podcast.

Trump and Vance sent a very different message: Men, you belong. Men, we appreciate you. Men who are masculine, kind, hardworking and family-oriented. You are necessary and you are vital. We will work together to fix what's broken so the people we love are safe and thrive.

It's a message that men wanted and needed to hear. And they rewarded Trump and Vance with their votes.'

'A radical feminist movement in which women shun marriage, dating and sex with men is taking hold among young liberal Americans in the wake of Donald Trump’s election victory.

Originating in South Korea and known as 4B, which means “four nos” in Korean, its tenets are: no dating, no sex with men, no marriage and no children.

Other principles include ditching beauty products and avoiding social interactions with men altogether.

“The women in South Korea are doing it. It’s time we join them,” said one post on X. “Men will NOT be rewarded, nor have access to our bodies.”'

'A man has said he can’t believe his wife was ready to “throw away our entire life” after filing for divorce over his vote for Donald Trump.

The distraught husband wrote on social media that he has been left without words that the marriage could fall apart over politics - and that the divorce papers could be served so quickly.

"She won’t have a discussion, she says nothing will change her mind Insists she is going to report my parents because they live off of disability but my dad does some cash work auto repair, so now I’m worried for my while family (sic).”

It clearly seems that the relationship has quickly become acrimonious with a vicious argument now over possessions. He continued in his post: “She wants me to buy her out of the house, we have $300k in it plus built a 4-bay garage since we bought it 3 years ago. I can’t afford that.'

'An Ohio English teacher is on leave after recording herself in what appears to be her classroom suggesting men should wear “blue bracelets or blue safety pins” to identify themselves as “safe” for non-Trump voters.

Danielle Mann (pictured), a 26-year veteran educator at Talawanda High School who also teaches a “Holocaust Resistance” course and is advisor to the school Gay-Straight Alliance, made the recording two days after the election.

Mann “challenges” such men to post their own videos to TikTok and other platforms so people like her could “thank” them and have it “on the record” as to who the “safe” males are.

Such videos also would allow people to know these men “tried to do right by the people of this country.”

Mann goes on to claim women are now in “danger” and says that even though she’s a white woman, “they will get to [her] eventually.”'
