Before I moved to the private sector, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Knowledge-Based Systems Group within the Department of Computer Science at the University of Paderborn, Germany. Prior to this, I worked as a research associate in the Web Technology and Information Systems Group at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, Germany.

My research interests included various topics in the fields of machine learning, data mining, artificial intelligence, and information retrieval. The focus of my most recent project (it's OWL – InverSa) was on model-based anomaly detection for technical systems; in particular, automated fraud detection for ATMs.
