A Noun
is a person, place, thing, or
idea.
A Verb
is a word that shows action
or being
Adjectives
are words that describe
nouns or pronouns. They tell
which one, what kind, or how many.
Adverbs
are words that describe verbs.
Many, but not all adverbs end in –ly.
Pronouns
are words that can take the place
of nouns. They can be found in the subject
or object part of the sentence.
Conjunctions
are words that join or
connect parts of the sentence.
Prepositions
are words that show how
a noun or pronoun are related to other
words in the sentence.
Interjections
are words in a sentence that
show strong feeling. Sometimes, they are
followed by an exclamation point.
