My book is fantasy fiction because a giant chocolate factory would nothave workers called Oompa Loompas, mix chocolate with a waterfall,have squirrels checking for good and bad nuts or be able to makepeople travel by tv. The chocolate factory also makes candies and otherfoods that I do not think could be made in real life. For example, thechewing gum that is a whole meal in one stick or grass you could eat.
Setting
The first setting in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is in a woodenshack. Charlie Bucket, his mom and dad and four grandparents live inthis house. Their house only has one bed and the roof is full of holes.The Bucket family doesn’t have enough money to fix it up. The secondsetting is in a huge chocolate factory in the town where Charlie Bucketlives. A man named Mr. Wonka owns the factory.
Plot & Summary
The plot of the story is there are 5 children that can win a chance to goto the largest chocolate factory in the world by finding a golden ticketin the wrapper of a Wonka bar of chocolate. The children are all greedyexcept for Charlie Bucket. While the children and their family membersare being shown around the factory, each one breaks a rule and getsinto trouble. Charlie is the only one that does not break a rule. Afterthe children break a rule or get into trouble, they are sent home. At theend of the day, Charlie Bucket was the only one left. He won the grandprize.
Recommendation
I think Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is the best book I have ever read.When I read the back of the book, I said to myself “This book is for me.” So Ichecked it out of the library and started reading. By the day after I got thebook, I was already on page 100. There are 190 pages in the book. By thefifth day that I had the book, I was done. It was an amazing book. All Iwanted to do was read this book. When I got home, I did my homework andstarted reading. I just couldn’t stop reading. It was like I was in a trance. Ithad great characters, cool pictures and the story was really fun. I could notbelieve how naughty all the children were except for Charlie and I was sohappy when he won the grand prize because then him and his family wouldnot be poor anymore. I suggest you beg your mom to go out and buy Charlieand the Chocolate Factory.
